  2. Dave, did you get your car from Awesome Imports? If so, what are they like?
  3. Well they must have seen the word "drag" on the invite and got confused Need a few Starlets there to give those so called Supercars a fright
  4. I've heard good stuff about Vredstein tyres http://www.vredestein.com/autobanden/Index.asp?TaalID=3 also the latest version of the goodyear eagle F1 seems to be pretty good going by AutoExpress
  5. I think we got our wires crossed there, Leon mentioned shipping from the States, I read it as shipping to the States...no worries Let us know how you get on with exhaust! Q. am I right in thinking a FCD might be needed?
  6. £110 for the set, surely not? That wouldn't cover the cost of the metal Perhaps they are made from concrete
  7. Glad to hear she's over the worst of it! *sniff* No I'm not crying...I'm cutting onions....yes, at my keyboard....do it all the time....yes, that's it...
  8. Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo o!!!!! They're probably made from pig iron and are 30kg each! Argh!!!! £110 each? That's a bit pricey go have a shufty around www.rarerims.co.uk mmmm, how hard would your car look on a set of these: http://www.rarerims.co.uk/product_details_...e_id=3&pcd_id=1 5kg too * dribble*
  9. Nightmare! Hope she's alright bud!
  10. Yeah his stuff looks good, there's a few pics on the forum somewhere/ Make sure you get a flexi-joint as stainless steel is more brittle than mild steel. If you're going to get the exhaust manifold (think it's called a header in the States?) off, then invest in exhaust wrap, that'll keep the temperature down in the engine bay.
  11. I've had the basic KYBs before but 20% uprated...they're the ones with the progressive damping...awesome value for money and work very well!
  12. unless you're playing with your handbrake in a quiet car park
  13. Close call buddy, glad to hear you didn't have to pay for someone elses stupidity! Driving defensively is becoming more and more nessary these days They don't know me, perhaps I should pop up

  15. yep, http://www.car-imports-direct.com/itemlist.php?clasrefr=toy the site looks a bit rubbish as I've grabbed it out of a frame for Toyotas... check out http://www.car-imports-direct.com for the normal site They're not cheap and they wont budge on their prices...I've tried before, did get my first drive of a Glanza V with them though Never heard of Awesome Imports, the only other one I know of in Bristol is http://www.japanese-imports.co.uk Let us know how you get on!
  16. Bracken Yellow...old BL Colour...very old school
  17. I think the CT9 (the standard turbo) maxes out at 1 bar I believe.
  18. Car looks good! Glad to see someone going to a smaller wheel, do you find a big difference with performance/handling?
  19. The fiestas have been knocking around for years which is bad for reliability but lots and lots of development work has been done on them, they can be extremely quick, but as standard most are a little tired now and would struggle to keep up with my 1.8 Astra let alone trouble a Starbo.
  20. here's a few pics from Sandown, scuse the quality...I took them on my mobile at low res, then halfway around I remembered to turn up to resolution  but they should be good enough to get an idea: The engine bay of RKs rather nippy skyline: a very dark and cool Scooby, if Batman drove an Impreza, he'd have this, note the very purdy LED brake lights: a cool looking Starbo in the foyer: a very nice sounding Supra on Thor's rolling road
  21. Wonder if that's going to be at TOTB next year, hmm
