Nice warm, dry evening last night and the plates and bulbs arrived so set about some fettling: 501s for the sides, puddles and rear: Pressed metal plates: Compared to OEM - not as white as LEDs obviously but Alfas dont take LEDs well (without some resistor wiring etc) but they are much brighter - OEM on the left, Philips on the right: And all fitted up - yes the car is filthy I know, but I did detar and wax behind the rear plate before refitting! Just the sides! Bright! And all the new front bulbs so far (still waiting on fogs): Phil.

Some fresh sidelights installed last nite - Philips Ultra White Vision 501s. Have a set for the rear plates too when I can be bothered fighting with the rear panel lol Phil.

Still waiting on a bunch of bulbs and some fresh plates arriving today, but over the weekend got some silvatec front indicator bulbs to do away with the fried egg look! When compared to the OEMs: And with the current side light bulb, believe it or not this whole unit looked yellow with the previous indicator bulb: Phil.

Update Managed a handy trade for a fresh bonnet yesterday. My own is a little worse for wear as the result of some persuasion required to make the original FMIC pipework fit and looks terrible when opening the bonnet, so been on the hunt for something fresh for a couple of years now. Big thanks to TTE_Starlet (Ryan) for sorting me out with this, and also for providing me with a new spare wheel mount so I can get a space saver back into the car (just needs welded in). Wow, I haven't bothered to update this since I bought the car....that would be because I haven't done anything with it, bar services and driving her daily. To date the car has been faultless bar a lambda sensor that was resolved under warranty. Daily slogs have taken their toll on the paint and especially the condition of the brake calipers sadly, but, its a daily driver hauler not a show car, and those are all things that can be restored via various services available (refurb and replace services on eBay, etc). Work still continues at a (relatively) good pace on sorting out the EP, however, the time has come to breath a little fresh air into the daily, nothing major, just some small touches to make it a cool dad's car, given the imminent arrival of a little Badger (codename: Mushroom....get it????). So, started with cleaning up the bulbs last weekend with some Ring Xenon 130% H7s in both the dipped and high beams. Fitted some LED sides too, then discovered that I had forgotten that LEDs aren't compatible with Alfas without resistors, so I'm awaiting the arrival of some clean white/blue 501 bulbs and silvatec indicators to clean up the front, puddle lights and rear number plate lights. I also plan to fit Osram Fogbreakers in yellow (for totes Euro looks y0) in the front fogs. Some pressed metal number plates are on order, and after that, going to look at replacing the emblems on the car as salt and water and stones have taken their toll on them....might change them up for some black and silver Alfa emblems. Couple of small interior trim pieces to source that have always been missing (small rubber mats from inside door handles), and perhaps a K&N filter to help it breath a bit better will be on the cards. Nothing major, just some tidy ups and attention. Bulbs so far: Before - blown dipped beam bulb and stock bulbs all round: Ring's in the dipped and highs and LEDs in the sides (coming out) and still stock fogs: Phil.

Not sure of the price difference between just reconditioning your CT9 and hybridising it... ...however, what I will say is this... I run a K1. Much to the contrary of internet rubbish, its not a hybrid. HOWEVER, what I can tell you is that it is hilarious craic. Zero lag to speak of, power delivery is instant and it pulls all the way through the rev range. If a hybrid CT9 behaves somewhere close to this, then my view is, smiles per mile will be HIGH! As for the hot air concern mentioned above....again, my K1 was generating alot of heat in the engine bay. So to combat this, we fitted a Civic radiator and slimline fan, and the car already ran bonnet spacers. Still generates heat of course, but now there is some more open space in there as the stock radiator isn't hogging up a bunch of room. £350 might be alot, I don't know, but it bolts straight on, no need for new manifolds etc, can run it around or just shy of a bar and have alot of fun. I run mine at ~0.95 bar and have zero complaints. Hopefully that will have helped, Phil.
