  1. Look forward to seeing whats next bud! Really liking the OEM style of refresh and pampering this is getting. There's an R33 build on Speedhunters thats of the same ethos, replacing old tired OEM nuts and bolts with fresh shiny new ones that are either OEM or a very close match to keep the OEM look, other things like refreshing the fluid bottles in the bay just to give it that showroom/fresh feel. Very cool, and something I'd consider myself with a different project (think my own one is too far along now for that lark lol). Keep up the sterling work dude. Phil.
  2. This looks absolutely class! Top work Jonny, some great ideas and unique personal touches! Very cool project! Phil.
  3. lol I think glanzanut22 meant Northern Ireland or Southern Ireland, hence my clarification lol. I've also just surveyed my resident border hoppers in work here, and Dublin wouldnt exactly be considered North of the Republic given that it extends all the way to the north coast of Donegal. But this is all irrelevant geography and doesnt address the actual query or the concerns we're discussing via PM - I just love a good Geography chat as it takes me back to my uni days lol Phil.
  4. Also, minor point, Dublin is in the South  Phil.
  5. V5C is called a.........V5C with us too :p Phil.
  6. I originally had a whiteline but the freaking nut kept coming loose and clunking about, so i swapped it out for an RSR one, been all good for the best part of 10 years probably now. Phil.
  7. Was gonna say -I had this when my RARD was installed; turned out the chap who fitted it didnt apply any grease to the bar when installing, meaning it clunked like a bollox everytime i went over a bump. simple fix but just something to bear in mind for those fitting them. Phil.
  8. the rear straps in mine are as above, the fronts are eye bolts, one into the sill where the OEM lower seat belt bolt goes (should screw straight in depanding on thread size of eye bolt), and the other into the transmission tunnel where we widened the original seat rear mount hole to fit washer and nut via the transmission tunnel (i.e. underneath the car, up above the exhaust). Phil.
  9. Mine rubbed the drivers side until i fitted an RSR adjustable panhard rod and had the alignment done. Mine was an NA starlet (UK spec) and don't believe the mechanic had any surprises fitting it. They should come with all bushes pre-installed in the ends of the rod (both my RSR and Whiteline ones did), and I'd imagine the Cusco would be no different. Phil.
  10. Wasn't sure on them in red.......but seeing them fitted in their new colour, extremely tidy looking bud! Top work as always!!!! Looks superb! Phil.
  11. No idea bud, Jay found it for me. I was searching for "parking pole" which turned up a few items on Jauce but not that one. Phil.
  12. Update Tyres now mounted to the Volks after some faffing about from Camskill. Also, with the help of Jay once again, did a buy on the auctions: Phil.
  13. Yeah, I definitely follow you already then! mine's the same as my username here, nanglebadger. Car looks super bud! Phil.
  14. Thats beautiful! Think I follow you/this car on Instagram, always looks good! Welcome to UKSO! Phil.
  15. Another KP on Speedhunters: http://www.speedhunters.com/2017/01/old-school-jdm-tokyo-auto-salon/ Phil.
  16. Bud that looks beautiful! Nice to hear you went the extra mile with all the little repairs all round too to bring her back to her best, rather than just firing a lick of paint on! Good man! Have you considered paint protection film to keep the front end from chipping? I know Liam D had it on his old green N/A and I'll be considering it for my own some day too. Phil.
  17. GT turbo in the cutting room floor pics at the bottom: http://www.speedhunters.com/2017/01/tokyo-auto-salon-carpark-hunting/ Phil.
  18. Thumbs up from me on these. Havent driven either but being an Alfa owner (and therefore an owner of a FIAT product) I'd agree that the concerns over reliabilty of years gone by arent the same. Would LOVE to have a spin in an Abarth Punto, meant to be great. There's also the Mito Cloverleaf, another little pocket rocket not to be sniffed at and plenty of aftermarket support from the likes of Novitec. Phil.
  19. I went with weekend...despite the fact it hasnt seen a weekend in a few years. Phil.
  20. You're not wrong. The Solida's dont work with the horn button/wires the way these bosses would, they work on a large metal ring for the horn, prevents the wires twisting when the wheel is turned. I have one of the JDM EP snap off bosses in my car but I have ran a seperate horn button for the last few years as aftermarket wheels tend not to be compatible. There are adapters/hubs available that ARE compatible with this type of horn, but they're not cheap. Phil.
  21. I see wind deflectors and a full, clean mat set - thats two OEM optionals. Don't think he's high but I would agree with Starlet_SR - thats a motor for a die hard. I've said for a few years now that if I was going to pick up a GT i would like a clean, stock Mk1. Sadly I dont think I could justify quite that much to the Mrs though  Phil.
  22. Update Picked up the Christmas present as well as some other goodies from the Costa Del Vogie yesterday: double din brackets for the two boxes, Motorfan magazine and MINT condition brochure for my specific model and colour. As always, big thanks to Jay! And thanks to Hookie for the brackets! Phil.
  23. Indeed bud, although the fact its still tucked up elsewhere is driving me fucking potty. Those who follow my IG feed will also have seen the Christmas present I bought her - a rather mint looking CleanAce courtesy of Jayz Garage! Will likely order some tyres following pay day. Phil.
  24. In 11 odd years I have never once seen a TOM's EP91 spoiler for sale, they are one of the rarest of EP parts, up there with HRF rear spoilers. Only one I ever knew of was on Adaman's white V (I think), and other than that, the only pics I've seen are from the Caribbean EP scene. A few folk have tried to make their own DIY versions by slicing up the stock spoiler too. Good luck with the search, if you stick at it long enough it could pay off, took me two years of searching to find the final gauge for my set but it paid off! Phil.
