  1. I'm Mauritian too but living in London and I can proudly say there are a lot of NICE JDM cars over there! And some absolutely fantastic roads! Welcome to UKSO!
  2. Random update, apart from the car not boosting properly at times I still love it even more every time I drive it. Apart from general maintenance and a plugs/oil/filter change not much has changed. Got a HID kit ready to fit and the intercooler is probably getting raised up this weekend so it sits flush in the bumper, then I have to figure out what front splitter I want - Probably a Leon Cupra R splitter. Random shot with a friends new Yaris:
  3. Saw you today in my mates golf, going past the Matalan in Purley.. are you on here?
  4. Haven't got a boost controller I believe it's just the standard management setup with actuator. I drive the car cold but I don't boost till it's warm (75ish degrees+) but it seems to want to boost by itself. As in if I'm in 2nd on light throttle it will spike up in boost and the whole car will judder. I find it odd how it used to be fine cold and run like crap warm, but now it's the other way round..
  5. No management at the moment. And it does boost all the way to 0.5 I just mean on light throttle it goes from -0.8 to -0.4 then suddenly goes to +0.1 then I get chatter, as in it boosts all over the place but when the cars warm it runs perfect. Would changing the gap from 0.9mm to 0.8mm fix the juddering at cold temps do you think?
  6. I've got a TD04 GT running 0.5bar and at first when I got it it was fine when cold but when the engine warmed up it started to judder on medium/hard acceleration, and the boost gauge would on light throttle go from -0.8 to -0.3 and -0.4 then a hard kick as it started boosting and would build enough boost to chatter even on light throttle. I changed the spark plugs for NGK iridium heat range 7's and gapped them at 0.9mm and now it's the opposite. It judders and runs like crap when cold but when the cars warm its perfect and boosts just fine. Anything I should look for? As it's really hard t
  7. Do you have the rear seatbelt buckles (the things with the red button that says 'PRESS' on it) and the rear seatbelt bolts?
  8. Sorry about the lack of response, I was on holiday. Does anyone have these with the bolts? Thanks in advance.
  9. They're the same seats my aunt had in her JDM 97 spec Reflet F, nice interior! GLWS
  10. I've recently bought an EP82 GT turbo and even though it has rear seat belts, as the car has been stripped out in the past there are nothing for them to clip into - if that makes sense. As it is now I can't legally have rear passengers in the car as there's nothing for their seatbelts to clip into. I'm looking for the thing with the red 'PRESS' button. Alternately I have a set of spare GT front seats, would the seatbelt clip thing from these work in the back of the car? Thanks in advance Shafz.
  11. Thanks everyone! It's good to be back in a starlet I am absolutely loving it, huge smile on my face every time I drive it! So far I've installed my headunit and rewired the front and rear speakers, I've also rerouted and redone the boost and temp gauge wiring so now it's not in the way. Next on the cards is a proper service and maybe a HID kit, as my 'blue' bulbs still come out yellow in the projector lense.
  12. Hey guys, I know there's a pinned topic on this but I think my questions a little bit different. At the moment I've got a catch can setup as seen here: After some drives there ends up being oil over the engine and a smell of oil into the car, so I bought a 9mm oil breather filter, and was wondering how to convert from the catch can setup above, to a breather filter as the smell of oil gets quite alarming at times. Or can I mount a breather filter on the open port of the catch can? Will this solve the oily smell? Thanks in advance. Shafz.
  13. I'm thinking to spray the cooler aswell to make it a bit more discreet once its mounted higher up, as much as I like the BLiTZ stencil it is a bit in your face haha.
  14. Alright everyone! Some of you know me already, and some of you know this GT already. I'm Shafz and I used to own a 6P3 Green N/A Sportif 5dr as my first car which I loved, but sadly it met its death due to my own stupidity, since that day I'd always wanted another and after a year of owning a 1.6 MK4 golf - as much as I liked the comfort and the special features of it - I knew I wanted to be back in a Japanese car ASAP. After getting my 1 years NCB I decided to look at VTi Civics (EK4's), but they were all priced way too high or had done galactic mileage or had pretty much been ragged. My
  15. I'll just electrical tape it and see, thanks for all the help guys Missed this forum!
  16. I must comment on this especially after what Amjad just commented.. I wonder what's happened to this?
  17. Thanks mate, definitely gonna try to sort it out later, would soldering them do the trick? @Matt1878, just saw your reply, thanks mate, going to try sort it out later! Missed having a starlet haha if this happened in my Golf I'd probably be bent over for a new cluster or something!
  18. Well I just bought N80Jamies car off Amir so that's probably why! Thanks mate I'll do that later!
  19. Alright everyone, I'm back in a starlet and It's got a lovely set of Indiglo dials in it. The problem is at night only the rev counter, boost and the temp gauge light up whilst the speedometer and fuel gauge do not - which is a bit of a problem at night and sometimes I have to resort to using the interior light to light up the speedo. Is there any way to fix them without buying a completely new set or reverting back to standard dials? Thanks in advance Shafz.
  20. Seeing as this is a 1.8 and not a 2.0, I doubt it, evo swaps can be done to these though.. Always liked these, good luck with the sale! Looks to be a minter too!
  21. P809NBK, 48223 miles on the clock, 6P3 green 5 door which we owned from 1999, I'd only been driving it for 5 months and 21 days before it met its death, in which case the engine still ran and everything still worked - chassis and driveshaft were a gonner though. Miss it pretty much every day RIP.
