  1. Nice build micky you going to be a happy boy i can see when your finished.
  2. you might want to have your timing checked as this can cause what your describing, if your timing is out you could be loosing out on power!!!!
  3. you will need a sandwich plate on the oilfilter and a pressure sensor connected to the guage, you can't just connect it to the oil pressure switch as it just an on/off switch you need a sensor for it to work.
  4. does it have a gauge to read the pressure if not you need one. Not any guage too, it needs to be one that can cope with fuel if you dont know what your doing I'm sure there will be a tut if you google it if not take it to a compatent garage, because if you do it wrong and you over fuel to much you'll get bore wash which causes premature engine wear on the cylinders rings and pistons and if you under fuel it will cause high temperatures and melt something and/or detonation.
  5. welcome mate get some snaps up.
  6. full edit your first post bottom right corner of first post
  7. I'll ask at toyota for ya on thursday when i pick up my stuff.
  8. Well I thought I'd go Toyota for the gaskets I need for my exhaust system and was suprised at how cheap they are..... HEAD TO MANIFOLD GASKET: P/N T17173-11040 £12.74 + VAT ea MAINFOLD TO TURBO GASKET : P/N T17278-11031 £13.66 + VAT ea TURBO TO CATALIST GASKET : P/N T17279-11010 £27.36 + VAT ea I ordered all 3 and grand total was £63.76 inc vat and will be here in 3days.
  9. When I took the auto box out of mine and put manual in it flashed until I changed the ecu to mickyboys manual ecu
  10. mines an auto gauge to so shouldn't be to hard
  11. I'm coming up in just over a week to collect my lips off glanza gemz so i can have a look for ya if ya want. what make is the gauge
  12. Mine has ign live red, 2earths one powergauge one for back light and White to sensor blue to sensor and yellow to side lights
  13. they come from the corolla g6 same engine (4efe) but one more gear best be breakers on corolla g6 forum ebay. i got mine off another member off here.
  14. is pucka preformance near you i'm sure they will do a water pump fitting for less than that it 1.5hours max
  15. water pump is defo the easier out of the three to do if it has overheated it might need the hg doing as well you need to have the head skimmed as well if you can, but its alot of work the block as well, they warp more than the heads having both of them skimmed will lower compression plus a thinner head gasket your asking for trouble. the water pump is not part of the cambelt of the starlets which makes it an easier job you can get the water pump from any motor factors i paid about £20 for mine and it was a nippon one same a toyota use plus the vat so for the sake of it it'll be wort
  16. no i'm saying read up on the effect of putting a thinner hg on ya car you can get standard thinkness uprated hg and thicker ones to do abit of research before buying i know if you higher the ratio there is more chance of detonation and you defo dont want that on a turbo
  17. if you go for a .6mm head gasket your going to higher compression ratio.... now i beleve highering the compression on a turbo/ forced induction car is a no no. even more so if your/you've already up'd the boost!
  18. Thanks guys just need a FCD now to compleat the 1bar mission as mines not working correctly and screwing the hks fcon and making it over fuel don't ask me how it's not even connected to it it on the standard map sensor under the bonnet.
  19. stamps feet picture mate come on you cant tell us and not show us!!!
  20. oh and i've just bought the front and rear optional lips of glanza gemz and should be picking up in just over a week picture will be added when fitted
  21. Well this week end has been eventfull, fitted the exhaust temp sensor for the hks fcon and all went well. Fitted just before the turbo so i'm looking for 900 degrees on full bean max, and while the turbo was off the waste gate got ported there was 4 very small crack in the waste gate but the were that small the got cut out when porting. Upon putting it all back together none of the gaskets would seal so new ones it is but have to wait till monday before I can even order them toyota take around 3-4 days to get the bits so another week before it gets sorted
  22. looking good craig keep it up.
  23. The standard actuator on the glanza are pants! And cause boost loss as it don't hold very well. But what's your spec list might help us find you a solution
  24. her sunvisor, licking
