  1. the engine only holds 2.5lt of oil mate how much did you put in?
  2. more oil can cause a bend snap rod/crank as you cant compress oil so something will give when you say to much how much was it over the full mark on the dip stick?
  3. though the dripping was from the front it wont be the feed pipe then..... as dan said check for play in the turbo shaft and for large amounts of oil in the intercooler.... there will alway be a little oil in there anyway.
  4. just one question exhaust at the rear of the car or in the engine bay?
  5. if you look at the oil filter, its attached to a re-location adapter which is were the oil feed comes from. Its attached with a big banjo bolt loosten that and give the pipe a wiggle to see if it moves if it does as its a solid pipe is snapped
  6. I'd prob pop up from 0.5-4 hours lol
  7. not 100% but sounds like your oil feed to turbo has snapped/cracked get it checked asap and if it was mine i wouldnt run it as you'll be loosing oil pressure thats how markoos ended up needing a new engine
  8. thats not the ICV!!! its to do with the vac reservoir which goes round the back of the manifold why do you think the idle screw is on you throttle body?? that thing holds vacuum in the needed vac lines so you have a constant vacuum supply like to the brake servo you control the idle at the throttle body.
  9. the gray plastic cylinder on the off side of the manifold is a vac reservoir valve if you look it only goes to vac operated stuff. 100% the ICV is on the underside of the throttle body there would be no reason why a ICV would be on the opposite side of the TB.
  10. Were about are you?
  11. The icv is under the throttle body not on the side I've posted this up somewere before I'll go find EDIT: http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....c=28426&hl=
  12. And on the stock manifold the retriction in runner 3 will kill ya engine if the boost don't bend a rod first
  13. Throttle possition sensor it's a little black box on the rear of the throttle. If its not telling the ecu the throttles closed it will idle all funny.
  14. Clean out the throttle body and re-setup TPS sounds like your problem.
  15. lowered but god knows how much on 195/50/15 with 38 offset drivers side rear rubbed till i got whiteline adjustable panhard which had tight bushes but was easy to fit really easy but offset of your wheels can affect rubbing too.
  16. Not really noticed it louder or lasting long it defo changes depending on how you let off, if i let off quick it chatters quite loud and quick but if i let off slowish it chatters quieter but longer and i've ran chatter before and after FMIC
  17. ok ok here it is : http://www.billzilla.org/starleteng.htm this guy has put some serious effort in to this build!!
  18. Bet the N/A lads will be proud lol......... and on an engine dyno it has made 248hp at 9,000rpm.
  19. this might help the AT ecu and MT ecu have the same ecu pinout/layout http://homepage.ntlworld.com/dub.se7en/TGTT/ecus_4E-FTE.pdf You should also see the TPS has 3pins at the ecu, the reason for the 4 at the plug on the AT TPS is an earth plus 3 ecu wires, so the MT only uses 2 of the ecu pins were the AT uses all 3 pins, if ya get me. I just dont know which is used on which If you want the part number for the AT TPS i can get it you so you can check prices at Toyota. Hope this helps. Luke
