It looks like the EP82 kit (4P151) may fit.....
-
Is that a left > right or a front > rear bias, i'm a bit lost....? By the way once brake fluid has boiled once, from then on it boils at a LOWER temperature! Strange to think that you can "damage" fluid but it's true, so changing it will help.

PM sent - I soooo need to get back to the 'ring this year!!!!
-
Yep will do, that was the PM from earlier today? Just so people know, I don't have a backlog at the moment so I should be getting back to people same-day.
-
Done!
-
Just digging the info out for you now - I'm catching up with the PMs bit by bit! (sorry)
-
PM sent - for some reason I'm still not getting notifications when there are posts in my WMS sub-forums! PMs are the best backup if I seem slow...
-
Sorry lads, was off with a chest infection ;) - back now though and full of penicillin! I've got a load of PMs to reply to all over the place so don't worry I'll get to you all! ;)

As far as I know all the calipers are the same format/fit.... you just need to match them to the right discs.

A 5SFE 2.2 litre conversion any good

A big engine! -
Very cool, good old crossflows - I built a pretty mental one for my old Mk1 Escort but never got the car back on the road sadly....

Effects n/a: 2.0 > 2.2 is a 10% increase in capacity/output. That's the same as adding 1.45psi of boost to a n/a 2.0 (ie, an extra 10% of atmospheric at sea level). Effects f/i: Take an ST205 spec 2.0 3SGTE as a base, running stock 10.8psi and go 2.2.....(10.8+14.5 = 25.3psi total) then (25.3psi x0.1 = 2.53psi extra). So that's 10% more power, or the same as adding 2.53psi, ie going from 10.8psi to 13.33psi. So the options that make sense (increasing in power) are: 1 - fit a 2.0 n/a because it's cheap 2 - fit a 3SGTE because it's "easy" 3 - turn up the boost on the 3SGTE!!!!!!! An extra 2 -
Hmmm, handy to know a good place for UK modded MX5's - it's very high on the WMS new-kit list!

Looking good! -
Green = "fast road" (not very good) Red = "very fast road/trackday" (really good for most people) Yellow = "full race" Blue = "endurace race" Get Reds...

There are wheel repairers and there are wheel repairers - it can be done if you use the right people (but it's not cheap, proper welded and machined repair). http://www.alloywheelrepairs.net/

There's always the V12 27.0L Rolls Royce Meteor (tank version of the Spitfire's Merlin engine) which is de-tuned to 600bhp (but with 1550lb/ft @ 1,600rpm) into Rover SD1 swap! www.youtube.com/watch?v=85jfBxQP4ZI http://www.ppcmag.co.uk/old-car-info/rover...-litre-v12.html ( look where it is!) The de Havilland Hornet version of the Merlin had 25psi from a centrigal supercharger, making 2,060bhp on really silly 150 octaine fuel. I love this quote about the Merlin: "The Merlin consumed an enormous volume of air at full power (equivalent to the volume of a single-decker bus per minute),

ministry of sound - The Rush 2010 (bought it last week) It's a mix of stuff I don't like, with other stuff I've already got from the last few years!

What offset were your wheels by the way? 'cmon lets have some photos!!!
-
Actually I get the impression he was barely touching the throttle!
-
I've got a really nice (zero rust or dents) Mk2 MR2 - but it's the 119bhp one! It's "ok", but the main thing was to have a 100% reliable car to run about in and tracking it wasn't the idea! ...although I did take it to the Nurburgring on the way home from Italy....hmmm....

My current car's too slow, arrrghhhhh!!! Roll on summer though.

Cheers for the feedback Phil! I never get forum-post-heads-up emails for some reason, sorry for being slow. Pads - Ferodo seem to just about have the edge on EBC like for like (Red vs DS2500 and Yellow vs DS3000), but are a smidge more expensive. Always good to have either in the WMS format though as they are normally sooo cheap compared with the Toyota format versions!

There were about 5-10 open up this week on the two mile stretch I drive most days, several were more than 1.5ft long, 1.0ft wide and 4-6 inches deep! Do seem to be getting filled fast but more appear each day, must be a sod to track/fill them all.
