I'm afraid in most cases it will need 16's, the caliper rubs the strut/lugs on the car once we get down to 290mm, so the kit will be in the 295/300mm range. There are SOME motorsport 15's that might take them though, maybe Compomotives etc.

Another way to grab a bigger screenshot is to increase the resolution the the maximum (doesn't matter if it's crappy/flickers), take the grab and then go back to normal....

Maybe 1-2 months? Got the discs here and brackets are being designed. Would need to grab a few 1.38/1.38 piston T30x's in to match the EPs but that's not a problem!

Engine/turbo/intake etc is easy, buy everything, then get it rebuilt to see 250 or 249 bhp. I've also got all the weight loss (I got 818kg) and strut brace stuff, (everything you can buy really) as well as the fully adjustable gears/suspension, plus soft "race" tyres. Other than buying stuff, I've added these changes: - Set the gears so you don't hit the limiter (duh) = "162mph max" for mine for the 'ring - lots less for Tsukuba. My rev limiter kicks in way before it should, really odd that! - LSD is set to 50/60/5 (probably totally wrong! ) - Camber 1.5 front, 0.5 rear (minimal change I t

I need an engine rebuild, I'm back to 240bhp! Not sure if this warants a new thread, but as I've been there: nordschleife - Keri-WMS - 7:55.356 (red because I had two slight offs!!!!) 240 bhp - slicks, lap 2 of 2 to get the ball rolling. EDIT: Engine rebuilt, 250bhp again, lap #3: nordschleife - Keri-WMS - 7:53.507 250 bhp - slicks

I do like them.....I've got a cople of EG Civic hubs to do a kit for, not sure if this shape is the same though.

Keri-WMS - 59:679 - 250 bhp - slicks .....I give up for the moment!!! ;) I probably need to use proportional throttle some way other than the button to stop the inside wheel spinning....at least I got the "Human Stopwatch" trophey! ;) (which according to google is three laps in a row, all within 0.2sec of the lap record)

I've been using the std car on std tyres (1 ABS, 1 TCS because I'm feeling lazy) and got a 1:13.363 but the car is driving me mad with it's inside-front wheelspin etc so it'll be back in upgraded form...

Hehe, no problem - if you're tempted it's the last day I can take orders at 17.5% VAT as far as I can work out...

Errrrm! This Look Like A Serious Build!

A few people have messed about with the 4AFE head instead of the more usual 4AGE one. You can get a 7AFE though (1760cc?) and chuck the 4AGE head on it with a bit of faffing to create a "7AGE". A few people have got 7AGTE or 7AGZE beasties as well, all good fun! The 20V 4AGE head fits as well but a long stroke 7A crank isn't so good at the revs a 20V needs. -
Just a heads-up as we're down to the last few days where if anyone wanted to order a kit now I can just about keep it at 17.5% vat instead of 20%. The reason is that HMRC has made a rule that as long as something is paid for before the vat rate goes up in Jan, the "vat date" can be in Dec (17.5%) instead of being the shipping date (which is the usual rule, and forces the vat to 20%). So if anyone wants to dive in and save that extra 2.5% drop me a PM ASAP!

I was once cruising along a (2 lanes in both direction road) at 30mph in my Mk1 Escort ( ) with a light controlled T-junction turning to my left, and a green light ahead. There were oncoming cars turning across in front of me into the junction to my left before I got there as there was a big gap in front of me. The last oncoming car (a Renault 5) stopped (giving way), but then at the LAST SECOND pulled straight across in front of me, meaning I t-boned the passenger side at maybe 28.5mph. The result was the Escort had 5-10mm deep "bruising" to the front panel/left wing/bonnet. The R5 on the

Cheers, it's the only caliper on the market with this feature to my knowledge!

Sounds like a plan to me!

The crossover is the 4th Jan, but the govt has given some leeway as I understand it, so anything that's paid for in Dec CAN count as 17.5% even if it's not shipped until Jan if we want it to. http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/vat/forms-rates/rat...se-guidance.pdf

Brackets are being anodised and *might* be delivered Thurs morning, if not then beginning of Jan. I've got calipers here but they all sold (via deposits) before they arrived! That said, I've asked the customers for the balance on these kits and being xmas chances are someone will say "can I get them next year 'because I'm skint" in which case they'll be moved to the next batch and their calipers will become available.... I'll get more in Jan in either case!

Hastings Sheet Metals can sort that if you're still stuck?

New toys! This is the monster WMS T30x caliper at long last! It uses a mono-bridge design which makes it very very stiff vs the competition, giving really good pedal feel but at a fraction of the cost of a true monoblock. It's also the next size up from the T20 caliper. The plan for it on the Starlet is to fit it to a 298.5mm kit....watch this space.
