Can anybody give me some advice on glanza v upgrades
Keri-WMS replied to Marcus2014's topic in Braking
..and upgraded brakes! Being the braking section. -
Two bits of news.... 1 - I'm just running the current brackets through the last stage of milling, as I write this there are two finished pairs (1 available, 1 has a deposit against it). Please drop me a PM if you want a kit urgently, partly because.... 2 - I lost ALL my email inbox from a few days ago all the way back to to 16/05/2013!!!! (Arg, F###, ###### ### etc). If anyone's emailed me at all in that time could they please re-send it....sorry!!! :-(

Braking / Breaking...
-
It's on the list, but getting the (re-stock) 4-pot kit bracket batch finished is in front I'm afraid!
-
We're planning on doing a rear kit, but it's a way off yet I'm afraid.... :-/
-
I'm liking this one! In terms of moving on from EBC Red pads, there's a chap racing with our WMS setup who gets on really well with DS2500's......failing that DS3000 would be the obvious bet! Although annoyingly Ferodo have pulled a 25%ish price hike on race shape 4-pot pads this year so we might have another word with Performance Friction, Hawk and a few others.

The WMS calipers are 1/8"NPT female, so you'll need 1/8"NPT male on the line (which is a tapered thread)! Hope that helps - are you doing them right back to the master cylinder? Normally I'd say just use our lines!
-
Noooo - I mean the section we're in is braking, not breaking! :-)
-
Breaking and braking again!
-
It's been moved! Wasn't me! All's well that ends well. Only way it could have been better was if I'd happened to have a Yaris (Varis?) bumper that kept getting in my way. Alas, I don't.....
-
Have they ever felt ok since you swapped everything from the later car? You've got the earlier master cylinder haven't you?
-
Just replacements for the flexi hoses.
-
Ah well - I would be able to get you a price, and will be stocking them.....just waiting for Earls!
-
I see three customer types: Toyota calipers F+R WMS calipers F, Toyota R ...and at some point WMS F+R ...so the idea is to supply lines to fit any of those combos.
-
Is this bit for me? Assuming so... 1 - Measure your discs. 2 - Varies, assuming you have the ones with the "m" shaped clip on top then they are about £70-80+vat for DS2500 (TBC, they have had a near 25% price rise on lots of their pads), EBC Yellow £76.08+vat, EBC Red £65.99+vat.
-
OEM means Original Equipment Manufacturer technically - I use it to mean "standard car bits" I suppose. So in this case I mean I'm waiting for a price on braided line kits to fit the standard car. And I'm still waiting!!!! :-/
-
I suspect you need Breaking, not Braking...?!
-
It's pretty sinple but a bit gross, I hate brake fluid....just make sure you invest in proper fitting brake union C-spanners, and get the bleed nipples freed up first.
-
Well, yes! I can't keep an eye on quality / safety stuff either if things all get a bit mix-and-match..
-
We can supply pads, but discs depends on which type you have.
