    Brake upgrade

Black only I'm afraid. Being new they are very easy to powder coat if you wanted to get that done at your end? We're happy to look into / help you get some decals if you take that route.

    Brake upgrade

Grooved discs you mean? We do offer them and most people do go for them, it adds £40+vat. They can help deglaze some pads, they appear to help reduce brake squeel - but I suspect most people like the look mainly! We don't offer drilled as they tend to promote cracking.
  3. My understanding is the pads "fit with" the carrier, not the caliper - so you'll need Glanza pads, not n/a ones won't you?
  4. My understanding on point three is you can fit the n/a front calipers on the front with Glanza spec pads and discs, as long as you find some Glanza front carriers. The bit I'm not so sure about is that the Glanza discs are 18mm thick - some n/a discs are 18mm but some are 16mm. The 16mm type are probably ok for normal Glanza discs, but you'll need the 18mm n/a or proper Glanza caliper if you want to run our WMS 110% discs.....

    Brake upgrade

We have two 4-pot kits that fit in most 15" wheels (4P107, with EBC yellows, and Earls/WMS lines, delivered, is £655.51 inclusive ) 275x22 (4P107) 277x25 (4P109) You can see all the info in the WMS section, link in my sig below!
  6. Only disapeared under 1,000's of emails / PM's! I'll get back to you ASAP.
  7. Yup, I'm still catching up so sorry about that - I owe a fair few people replies!
  8. I'd be interested to get the piston sizes on the Levin twin pots (will have a look when I finally borrow a set to work with). That sounds like the piston area is too high for the Starlet - hard to be sure though. Power is not defined by the NUMBER of pistons, it's the total effective piston area that counts, and big increases of area are a bad thing for front / rear bia and pedal feel/travel.
  9. Not sure that pads are enough to justify a door sticker either!
  10. A badly designed brake upgrade will often create more pedal travel, usually as a result of an increase in caliper piston area. We use a caliper with the pretty much same amount of piston area as the OEM caliper, but get extra torque through elimitating the OEM-caliper induced frictional losses (from caliper sliders and tight pad clips etc) with a 4-pot type caliper on larger discs. This should give you more brake power with a similar or better than standard pedal travel (softness), but pedal feedback/"feel" is much better. If you REALLY wanted a firm pedal we have calipers with smaller
  11. Do you mean bigger discs and calipers, or better pads/discs to fit the calipers you've got? The choice depends a lot on budget and wheel size.
  12. I wouldn't have much of an idea in terms of picking normal road pads where brake dust / wear life and that kind of thing are probably the things most people are interested in.
  13. Don't forget that all the big brake pad mfrs have a "road" range that is probably 99% of their sales to the general public, and a "race" range. You can't make any meaningful comparisons between the two types! I think Ferodo have a half-way range, the "DS Performance" ones, I don't know much about them though.
  14. "thrashing an old Cossie at Bands" = those words are full of win!
  15. I have to say that people who've tried DS2500 don't seem to use other pads after that.......bit more expensive, but not beyond reason!
  16. The calipers will fit, but you need the carrier too. You'll also need the bigger discs and pretty sure new pads too - the Glanza pads are a different shape I'm 99% sure. We can help with both if you need them, on the shelf....
  17. Here you go! :-) http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/72471-discspads-for-toyota-calipers-inc-wms-110-heavy-duty/ On the shelf - in plain and grooved, they are a 10% thicker casting than normal discs which stiffens them up to absorb abuse, hence the "110%"!
  18. Gotcha! I thought I read somewhere you had been looking at changeing to V's, that's all. So, do you think they would still have fit with a 3mm spacer instead of 4mm, how tight is it? Any chance of a few photos to show how much clearance there is? :-) The reason I ask is that the 22mm thick kit we do is 3mm thinner, so if you can fit your 25mm thick discs in with a 3mm spacer, then I know people can fit the 22mm version in with NO spacer!
  19. Such a sweet build! Quick question Nick if it's ok, so you had 15x7 Rota Grids and the WMS 277x25 kit (4P109) and they fitted....but when you went to the Rota Grid V's you needed spacers? If that's right, could you just tell me the size of the Grid V's? And the thickness of the spacer you needed in the end? Do you have any photos of the brakes under the Grids compaired to under the Grid V's? I ask as a lot of people run these wheel but I don't know for sure how well the brakes fit, also the 22mm thick kit is 3mm thinner than yours, so I'm hoping to find it'll fit under the Gri
  20. I've posted the price and profile PDF for the forthcoming 260mm kit (for 14" wheels etc) in the WMS 55mm kit section! Also I'm still working to get back to everyone who's sent me a message (goes for replying to all posts too), getting there....
  21. That's why we introduced the 110% heavy duty discs, provide an increase in performance for people who can't stretch to a proper 4-pot kit.
