Hi all Has anyone here ever had a warped rocker cover? I've had one supplied with the AN8 fittings on but it just leaks oil everywhere. We've changed the gaskets twice and used sealant but it still pisses out. The mechanic thinks as the gaskets aren't solving it that it must be warped when the welds were fitted. I don't believe he's using OEM gaskets though if that also makes a difference. Any similar issues from anyone else? I'm considering going back to my OEM cover or buying another one from somewhere else. Cheers Al

Spares or repairs glanza v 1999 T reg
Arnold replied to tahiRR's topic in eBay, BidJDM, Yahoo Auction Finds
I've seen that around. Shame I've only spotted this now as I live in Horsham too. -
Used to be garaged for winter but now she's my daily, and it doesn't like it!
-
Yeah to update the thread, I took it back to Quaife. They modified the side gears within the diff so now the shafts slide in and out with no problems at all. What a difference it makes having this thing fitted!
-
Just because it was changed, doesn't mean it won't be the problem. Does the temperature stay higher if you leave the air vents on recirculate?
-
Idle is around 14, it fluctuates a little. She drinks fuel on boost so yeah it's probably just very safe! I'll go get her checked out
-
I've finally installed my AEM wideband to my car and on boost, i'm getting readings as low as 10.0. That's the lowest the dial will report. I've heard 11.5 sounds about fine, but 10.0 is obviously way too rich right? She's got an E-Manage Ultimate fitted
-
I've just had mine redone. They had no problems getting standard parts but there's no upgrades as such I was aware of. Fitted a Quaife differential at the same time, what a difference!
-
Did you sell the wings? Can't see them listed
-
You can buy from Quaife directly. I did, although Tuning Developments told me afterwards they'll do a deal on the bearings if you buy from them.

When the inner clip wasn't on, he said it still had the same stiffness / resistance preventing it from going in, so he didn't think it was a clip issue. I just want to know really if it's safe / ok to leave it as shown in the images, or should he continue bashing away to get it on further?
-
Here's how far we can get them in. Not sure if that's safe enough to drive like that? My mechanic says they're definitely not coming out.
-
Hey all Well he pushed the shaft into the box OK but it's like the teeth on the shaft don't want to go into the diff. Quaife said it can be a stiff fit, so he ended up using a lot of force to get it in, and even so, he's saying it's still not all the way there. He said he's never seen it this tough to put in before (he does gearbox changes all the time). As it stands, the shaft looks like it should still go in a few more MM each side, but it won't go any further. The Quaife was brand new from Quaife directly, and they confirmed it was the right part! I'll get some photos up shortly.

Hi all My mechanic has just had my gearbox reconditioned by a company who fitted a Quaife LSD differential at the same time. Now he's trying to refit the box to my Glanza and he's saying the drive shafts wont fit back into either side of the gearbox. He thinks I've ordered the wrong diff. The gearbox recon people have fitted it OK, and Quaife said it's the correct part, and being a direct fit, have never had this issue reported to them. My mechanic says the shafts are too big to go in though. Any ideas what the issue might be? Has anyone else experienced this? Cheers! Arnold

Hey mate. I've got a used Tuning Developments Ex gated TD04 kit, with screamer or recirculating screamer and downpipe. The manifold is cracked though and needs another re-weld, but easy enough for a competent welder to sort i'm sure. £100 collected from Horsham, Sussex if you're interested? Photos attached

Arnolds 99V Glanza build - New WEPR TD04 Kit :D
Arnold replied to Arnold's topic in EP91 Glanza Progress Blogs
Have taken the Glanza to my mechanic friend to fit all the new WEPR stuff above, fix the radiator leak and MOT the car. The radiator is leaking from where the manifold had cracked, which basically burnt a hole straight through it! The radiator will be replaced for a new one too. Can't wait to have her back!
