Intercooler Arrived And Fitted, Few Q's
Idrees replied to Jae-Glanza's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
It's an easy task to be honest mate. There is a tutorial that shows whats involved over on TGTT. -
Afraid not dude. NightSpirit I have a fuel pump with assembly off a Glanza. Not sure I have the bolts though.
-
Well I've been ranting on TGTT today how I can't afford to run the car anymore, so we'll see what happens. I've spent too much to get rid and it does feel like a good package, so I'd probably regret getting rid. Just need the map sorted so it's not to damn thirsty. On the other hand, MOT is due this week so I need my indicators working for that. A pair of Reflet rear lights and a ducktail spoiler would be awesome too, and the rest of the windows tinted. Not just yet though.
-
Yes mate you need them. Measure the ring and buy the rest of them. Rick had them on his Glanza so I'm assuming the black ring fitted well on his Glanza, you can probably pick up a set off ebay.
-
That's a spigot ring mate, what wheels are they? The reason its there is because the centre bore of the wheel was too big for the car the wheels came off. The ring fills the gap in the centre, and makes it safer. You need to measure the centre bore and then we can tell you if you need spigot rings for these wheels to fit your Starlet.

Just a quick pic of my Defi's. I bought the Oil Pressure and Temp gauges about 4 months ago, and since then I have been trying to find a matching boost gauge. I finally came across a brand new one a few weeks ago so bought that immediately, had to pay through the nose for it but I reallyyy wanted it! I've got them mounted on the dash but still need to wire them up. Sorry about the poor pic, I will add some better ones once they are wired up and working well. A few new pics of the motor.

Top man, it's too cold to go out now but I'll have a look at it when I can!
-
That's an awesome base to start from, good luck with it buddy.
-
I have been doing, it's dangerous! MOT time soon so I need to pull my finger out and fix it. I think my brother has a multimetre buddy, I'll ask him when I see him. Does this tell me if theres any power going through the wires?
-
Yes EBC mate. Can't really cut the power because its soldered in!
-
True ^
-
Yes mate that was definitely in. I then changed the hazard switch (twice) as I thought that might have been faulty, but no luck.
-
Looks top notch mate, nice work.
-
Your paying Autoglass, or is your insurance covering it?

Hey guys, After fiddling with wire when fitting my boost controller a while ago, my indicators stopped working including hazard lights. I had a look over all the wires I touched to see if anything looked wrong, but it all looked fine to me. I checked the usual fuses too but nothing was blown. I've also tried two different hazard light switches, but no joy. Can anybody else suggest what else to check? Do any of the relays control the indicators? Indicator stalks maybe?? Everything else on the car is in perfect working order. Many thanks.

Looks stunning!

This is gonna be one of the best UK Spec Starlets on the site, if not THE best. Best of luck buddy.

Whoops!! I just deleted Keirz triple post then noticed what you said in your post, sorry duuude!!

Common sense that the bigger the diameter of the pipe, the louder it's gonna get. I liked my old HKS because it was nice and quiet, that was 2.25" I think. I upgraded to a Blitz NUR Spec due to getting a bigger turbo kit, this is 2.5" but wayy louder! I wish it was quiet but I needed it more than wanted it.
-
Yeah it only makes sense that your car runs better on higher quality fuel, don't get why people are saying it's a "load of bollocks". I watched the 5th gear review. On the normal small engined car (I think it was Hyundai) the higher octane fuel admittedly made no difference to the BHP iirc, but that doesn't mean to say the car didn't run better!
-
Outstanding update once again, this is awesome!
-
There was a thread showing that the higher octane is better for your engine, even in the NA. If memory serves me right. I use Shell V Power always.
