The Toffinator replied to The Toffinator's topic in EP91 Glanza Progress Blogs
Haha i know finally mate, to be honest though its served well and i dont think there that bad if there braced! Here it is lads. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/TOYOTA-STARLET-36-LED-BULB-WHITE-interior-dome-light-/170406575066?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27ad05fbda Lasts forever it seems also! Few little updates the car is still going, no problems to report as of yet either, Just the usual eating of front tyres, and polishing the thing! Been struggling for time lately as got myself a new job but this should allow me to spend a bit more on this as im earning a -
It would be worth getting new photos mate show the condition etc. And also people complaining about cat c is daft, a cat c danaged glanza is as easy as literraly a bonnet needing replacing as insurers have no value of these cars they are compared to uk N/As valued at about 500quid! They will write them off for anything.

They definetely alter the timing a fair bit! When my knock sensor died it ran differently and had slightly different afrs!

ZISCO Ramhorn TD04 Manifold
The Toffinator replied to The Toffinator's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
Thanks trisk, just put my new turbo on to check and it is at an angle, oh well will have to wait and do the kit properly! -
Just a quick question, i have a Zisco mild steel ram horn manifold sat here, quick question if i was to block up the external gate part of the manifold would i be able to use my Toyosports downpipe? They look pretty much the same dimensions wise, but i dont know if the turbo is rotated on these setups while the Toyosports kits sit level with the block, and dont point the compressor outwards if you get me? Thanks Chris

As above people dont like it because it doesnt say jam. They are a much more modern ecu as they still sell them now! Fantastic bit of kit would have it over anyother P&P offered to me

Buy a low mileage 4efe for quarter the price and swap bits/refresh it before dropping it in. Best option

The Toffinator replied to smithyithy's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust

Hahaha easily confused mabye! And i also have a hks rep and cant fault it really just wanted a proper adjustable one so got the Sard. Really impressed with it makes an awesome sound and at low revs/boost is pretty quiet but when pushing on a bit its louder but a different noise, then full boost is awesome sounds fantastic and keeps the turbo on song! Deffo recconend one -

Possibly mate. But as i said i ran back to back on both the TF035 And my VF24 And could notice it both times. Possibly if your very quick with gearchanges it may be less noticeable but normal fast driving it was mega noticeable. Properly slows the turbo down and is well documented. BUT as i said a small amount of charged air in the system does help. Hence why i now have my R2D2 Set up to only dump very quickly and when flat out. Try it yourself dan ;) And im not sure unless you set up some sort of system it may be possible, possibly using a forge Split r or whatever they are called -

Worth running one IMO chatter is nice but on bigger turbos the lag is noticeable on gear changes when you dont have one fitted. However a good adjustable DV is perfect as you get chatter at low boost and no shit noise, and dump at high revs when needed. A bit of positive pressure on shut throttle is actually goid for response but difficult to achieve! -
Standard box is good for well over 140 mate, sure 170 is possible on these boxes i think?

The Toffinator replied to Mattysr's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
AFAIK The G6 1.3 4EFE Corolla box is a direct fit, some people have slight gear cable problems but easy sorted if you use the cable off that car. The G6R Corolla 1.6 4AFE Is the same box bar the bellhousing, which you swap over. Cable problem is the same again just use the cables -

Thanks josh:) Car is still going strong and loving every minute of it, only a few hiccups mainly the sump sealing problem which im still struggling with, and second a noisy wheel bearing on the front Sourced a pair of 2nd hand hubs, had them shotblasted and painted and i pressed some new bearings in:) Few photos below, arches still surprisingly clean after the repaint! Bought myself a set of blue silicone rad hoses and a RW Developments battery clamp and fitted them, just need some photos of them when its light. Also got hold of a Zisco Ramhorn EWG Manifold, so will be sorting that o -
Glanza Owners Public Service Announcement
The Toffinator replied to The Toffinator's topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
Bit more of an update, finished off stripping down the old engine to see what the what is and here are the photos. Just to note also the engine turned over absolutely mint, all bearings were immaculate with no signs of wear, etc etc and even the damaged rod still feels mint on the crank like the rest of them. It has just give way, notice how its twisted etc also when it let go Crank is also unmarked and appears perfect!
