I recently bought the car, it had already been converted to TD04l. I got it cheap as it needed a new turbo as the one on it is smoking on boost. I’ve got an eBay special waiting to go on. It’s running emb but it needs mapping. I guess that even tho this is my 4th starlet, I’ve never run anything other that ct9’s and the TD04 is out of my comfort zone. Once mapped I guess it’ll be about 220-230bhp, at the moment as it’s unmapped I’m nursing it about with the odd bit of boost. With less than 65k on the clock the engine should be strong and healthy, guess I’m just being a wuss!

Just trying to get some starlets together from local area! Yea it’s a Friday, thought maybe food and a chat!

I don’t know if it has a stamp or not as I’ve not had my hands on it! I’m having to wait until I get home from holiday!

If you come up with a price, on me! I’m thinking of ditching the TD04 and going back to a ct9!

Haha so many things I could say I’m pretty sure it isn’t a HKS, where the tip meets the back box is wrong. I’m stuck, I’m 99.9% sure it’s not jperfomance or Japspeed, I just dunno what it is!!

If I had that I’d be laughing. These photos are from when the seller was boxing up! The exhaust has arrived but I’m 1500 miles away at the mo, which is why it’s driving me loopy.

Right, long story short, I have bought an exhaust which the seller thinks was HKS! Now it’s arrived but I’m on holiday, I’ve not yet seen it and it’s bugging me rotten. Can anyone identify this exhaust and save my sanity? Please? i can just make out some sort of branding on one side Thanks in advance!

Did you check the plug gaps before fitting? Incorrect gaps canrun fine on normal driving but will fail under load.

What else have you tried? Save me some time with the guesswork

Check your king lead, this is the Center lead that goes from dizzy to coil. It’s quite possible this is fooked and is breaking down under load.

What issues are you having?
