This is why people are suggesting 2nd gear runs 40mph+ rolling starts. That said a GTR is still probably my favourite car and I would stil favour it to beat the starlet due to friends who drive motorbikes and say that GTR's are the only cars they have experienced who can get close to them. Although I dont think there would be much in it due to power to weight. I still think a boosted VTAK civic would beat it.

Ebay then or a trader on here. They are fairly pricey though upwards of £100. Unless you are tracking the car a regular alloy one from ebay will do or even a plastic 1 which u prob already have will do.

As said being a painter will get you no where mate. You need to be able to paint/weld/panel beat. If a body shop can employ one guy on £12 an hour who can take a car from start to finish or 3 guys on £7 an hour to do the same car then they will. Find a college which offer an NCC or whatever it is. The most basic one. Apply to do that this way you can keep your current job. Then find a local bodyshop who is friendly and open at the weekend or when you are free and ask if you can spend some time there shadowing someone. You will find in time if the body shop loses a painter or something you will be top of their list so long as you stick in and make a good impression and pick it up well. Also painting is like mechanics it not the lovely job painting nice cars it will be hours sanding and filling shitty corsa's and repairing accident damaged cars. The bonus being you get to chop and change your own car whenever you like and can also do homers on the cheap and make yourself a fair wad of cash.

That all sounds normal tbh only thing thats not would be if there is air in the system.

Easiest way to find out is to take the cap off your rad and do the sniff test. If you have any smell of fuel even the slightest hint then its defo h/g or block. If its still doing it with the thermostat out though its likely it is. Does it pressurise the system then purge all the coolant out the system into the overflow then cause the engine to over heat?

I didnt realise you still had a good pedal when the banjo bolt was off. This means you definately have a blockage mate. Like I said disconnect at the ABS pump and check if fluid is there. As you trace it back check for damage to the pipes. If all that looks good go back to the rear and disconnect it before the flexi hose and see if you get fluid there. Theres a chance that the internals of you flei have collapsed and that is blocking it.

Just use a rubber or leather mallet n stop trying to hit it and HIT IT.

The fact its been changed recerntly means fuck all im afraid mate. In my experience this is defo a H/G or cracked block. Try taking out the thermostat and heating it up and see if it still happens. If it does then its 1 of the other 2.

I havent worked out where it sits but i dont think its very rad friendly but we shall find out. He isnt taking the piss mate hes taking the EMU and the longer its left the less likely to get it back. The round holes on the face of the friction plate. There is rivets in that holding it together. As long as they arent level then clutch should have a bit of life in it.
