  1. I reckon you could build a track car relatively cheap. Like said above though I'd concentrate on handling as its the main negative of these cars. good suspension set up fresh bushs ball joints arb's braces everything you can. Then port the mani and the wastegate, gut the cat, adjustable actuator, rx7 top mount, plug leads, straight thru exhaust, relocate airfilter, rrfpr and fcd for cheapness. Only thing you would need to watch is you dont blow the engine with the rrfpr and fcd if you can stretch id go for an emb just to be safe.

  6. Those look relatively clean for TRD's only thing was I thought they were yellow. Although I might be wrong. Nah you would get a 2nd hand set from someone who is breaking for around the 400 - 500 mark with a little patience.

  8. You will get 2nd hand meisters for around the £400 mark. Just keep your eye on the breaking thread if your not in a desperate rush they come up every now and again.
  9. Pretty much as above. Mint TRD's would probably be the best coilies going but like socks said they are all very old and worn by now. Im also not sure if the seals are available to replace dont get me wrong if they could be then a case of just having them sand blasted and painted again you would have 1 sweet set of coilies. As for d2's again very very hard on public roads id aviod them unless you visit tracks alot. You may not mind the ride but i'm afraid with a harsh ride comes alot of noise thats physics for you the energy must go somewhere. Either go for a set of meisters which t
  10. You could maybe find someone with a busted set of starlet coilies and use the top mount from them and a set of meister springs im sure you can get them new for £30 a spring or there abouts. Maybe starts to cause the cost to mount up a little. If no one has measured the diameter ill do it tonight and let you know ive just taken quite a tasty rare shock spring set up off mine for coilies.
  11. Youd be better off with just a black bonnet if you dont have money for a real carbon one. Its clear as day when they are wrapped and not genuine.
  12. What you need measured? Is it really worth while doing though? Those shocks are cheap for a reason mate they are pants. Surely if Dan wants a cheap set up then you would be better off with a good 2nd hand shock and spring kit tbh. Someone posted a newly found make of coilies for starlets cant remember who from or what brand but they were only £350 or sumthing.

  15. How the fuck do we do it though haha. I should have a spare set of dials to work with shortly and can fiddle about with them and try work it out. Could leave it under a pillar drill all day long lol. Winding it all the way round the clock might be the only option just dont want it to end up taking an age and rather than fixing the mileage ending up with 300k on the clocks haha.
  16. Does this actually work though? This was my first thought but does the odometer not have teeth on the numbers to stop this happening or do you needto go all the way up the numbers and past 0 again? Surely if it was as simple as putting a drill on and reversing it then you could put the car on a ramp and stick it in reverse and watch your mileage plummet lol.
  17. Havent looked into this more just an idea thats popped into my head. Has anybody when they have changed from KPH to MPH wound back their odometer to the correct number of miles rather than tryin to remember when you changed it over and adding both together? Or is it just a case of buying new dials near to the distance your car has done. Only implications I can see is when you go for an MOT it will be lower than it was before its last 1 but surely a call to VOSA or somthing along those lines could clear that up? Cheers

  19. I thought that much myself. Ahh so why are there 2 different sizes does the larger 1 make your ride more firm? Going to do the other 2 bushes and both balljoints when I do the anti lift kit. Get everything freshened up.
  20. James im getting the anti lift kit from yourself so i assume it will include that bush so will only be the other ones im needing?
  21. Right so im thinking its time to renew / uprate my wishbone bushes jus for the hell of it. Been looking around and seen the powerflex set for £120 on egay. Is this seriously the kind of figure I have to pay for them? Ive fitted a million bushes in my life and never seen basic rubber ones that are soo expensive. Any knowledge on where I can get these cheaper? Or how much standard ones are? Cheers
  22. ^^^ Agree with Hou Autoglym used to be good but now its no more than a brand. Shampoo is and im not over reacting verging on shocking possibly the worst ive ever used. Wheel sealant very poor. Wheel cleaner is just soapy water. Havent tried the polishs or waxes of late due to this. My personal choice for stuff is Mer by a long shot.
