Gotboost is £50 in bridgend

So basically you want to make UKSC profitable rather than just meeting yearly costs. I think thats fair enough considering the work thats been put in from your self since you started UKSC, i think the only downside with that is members dont mind paying, but i would say 9/10 they would expect the money that they pay would be poured back into the club, after all it is that a club. but if you charged yearly membership i would be happy with that idea, as long as the site is up and running, what ever else you do with the money is up to you

I thought we did pay for the site in terms of membership, or would this be in addition to that? I thought i had to pay a yearly membership anyway??? and im not fussed at all the site went down, shit happens, it got fixed move on! I dont mind paying either, i noticed some sites charge shit loads for yearly membership, £15 a year sounds like a bloody bargain!

Ah right ok, i was worried i couldnt take it on track because i would have to drive it like a girl for 100's of miles! So acording to http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm I need to rag the engine straight away especially within the first 20 miles. It makes sense though, drive like a pussy and the rings wont seat properly

Standard clutch - How much punishment (bhp) can it take?
Taggy replied to Taggy's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
nah its just the thought of spending another £300 on a clutch! -
Hoping to have the engine built by the end of the week, but I am unsure on the running in procedure. Got a rough idea how to do it but just want to double check. My Wossner pistons says i need 500 miles to run my rings in and also that I have to use a mineral oil to bed them in. Anyone got a procedure for me to follow, bearing in mind i have only got a week to do it!!

Well i have to aim to get the engine in by the weekend if i want to stand any chance of running it in time!! I CAN DO IT!!!!

new gaskets, 5e pistons/rods,clutch,flywheel and head
Taggy replied to _shaun_'s topic in Starlet Parts For Sale
I am in the same position as you mate, got all this 5e stuff but I am starting to think its just gonna end up in the council tip. No one wants any of the standard 5e bits. -
I am always bemused why people go to the trouble of taking the head off with a head gasket failure and then dont bother to get it skimmed, its like £30-£40 and you can sleep knowing its gonna be ok then when you put it back on. £500 for a HG repair, i would be on that bloody phone right now!! ring him and ask for a break down on the work. £250 from a mechanic is about the going rate for a HG repair, be interested to see why he charged double!! Does my head in when i keep seeing members getting tucked up!!!

Yeah I guess its down to driving style, on track it doesn't really get hammered as the car is always moving, I guess drag would be a different story! -

It's a credit card, you can't withdraw cash has to be a purchase. -
It's something to do with the %increase you can control using the emanage blue in combination with the stock ecu, I'm sure you can only increase it between 420-460cc. If you want to go higher the. You have to go ultimate, but no need 430cc is plenty for tdo5

sorry there no good for emanage blue

Bit random i know but I am going to be buying a speedboat this month with a mate which is about £5000, it was going to be paid with a credit card so if i cant purchase it from a shop directly, I may have to send the money through paypal to my mate who I am buying it with in order to get my hands on the cash. This way i avoid the stupid cash rates on credit cards and get 0% on purchases for 15months. I have read all sorts of horror stories about sending large sums of money through paypal and it getting tied up in their stupid security system. Anyone sent large sums through paypal before? Last -
The clutch is being used for track and not Drag runs, I wanted to know how much power i can put through it before it starts to slip. I have read through a load of questions on it in TGTT with no real answer. Only reason I am asking is because loads of people on TGTT are saying anything over 200bhp and it will slip and it wont last 6 months, but from my experience thats a load of shit. I fitted a new Exedy standard replacement clutch over 12 months ago and was running the car at about 205 continious and 220hp in bursts and never had slippage problems and when i took the clutch off the other da

Looking to possibly go TD05 16/18G if i can squeeze it onto my current manifold, if you have one could you let me know the dimensions of the turbo housing, need to check it there is enough clearance between the manifold and the block. Thanks Taggy
