  5. Well where you see those cracks, once you take the rings off that piece of metal actually comes off as one chunk like mine below Mine was only down on compression on one cylinder but when i took them all out, two of the pistons had the same problem, with a big chunk of the ringland coming off. I wouldnt really advise driving it as your pistons are going up and down with a chunk of loose metal being held in place literally just becase the cylinder wall is there. If its breaks apart it will score your block and completly ruin your engine. My block was fine when i inspected it and all it needed was two new standard pistons and then a new set of rings for good measure. I decided to Forge mine while it was apart but it wasnt cheap, rods and pistons on their own were about £900. If you want to put it back together standard you can do it for a couple of hundred quid. Standard pistons you can get on here for next to nothing You need a head gasket (I have a spare you can have for £30) New head bolts £30 New piston rings £60 aftermarket for £100 toyota genuine Hone the bores and deglase £40 but while you have it in bits you might as well put new bottomend bearings in for £80 Have a nice fresh engine then
  6. Any excessive vapour coming from your rocker breather or it blowing oil is a major sign to say the ringlands have failed on 1 or more pistons. It happened to me recently and to be honest its a big job to strip it, although you can check it with the engine still in the bay. If it has gone then its an engine out job as you will need to replace the pistons (you can get them for peanuts on here) and you may as well stick new rings on while its apart. You will also need to deglaze your bores for the new rings to bed in, which is why it needs to come out The car can still run perfectly with this problem, but if you compression test it, i bet my balls its low on one of them. Here check out this video of me taking mine apart, you have the same problem. 8. The only thing the FCD is to lock the voltage so the fuel cut never cuts in, the only thing i can assume the dial does is adjust the voltage at which it locks. This is probably so it can be used on more than one car? Get a pic up of it

  13. I just ran a custom exhuast system from front to back at 2.5" with a flexi in the middle and a box on the back, Its very reasonable and not chav loud, but has a nice note when you boot it Was about £250 for a complete system fitted. Oh and it was about 85db at 4000rpm
  14. When i bought my Ep70 Starlet last year, I bought it from a Magazine who were originally doing a feature on it and was one of the reasons why it was in good nick when i bought it. I got an email from him today asking if anyone with Ep70's wanted to attend a photo shoot in Rockingham on May 16th to get in the magazine! Problem being is that I didnt have the heart to tell him that i had ruined his completly stock gem and put race kit in it!! Maybe i should send him a pic for Lols In any case if anyone has got a stock Ep70 they wanted to show off in a mag hes looking for people. If i didnt change the wheels he would never of known, I have unfortnatly binned the 14" orginal rims now (knew i should of kept them!)
