  1. ah gutted, was a bit to far for me to goto so gonna do this puppy instead
  2. Lol yeah thats what it was like with the EP70 conversion on mine, although in fairness after working on it for a few hours you get to know you way around it. Its split into 3 main bits, the engine bay, behind the dash and then the fuel pump. Good luck! all the wiring diagrams are on the net and tgtt
  3. I am pritty certain this will be a vacume leak, get him to check all the vacume pipes on the intake manifold, some times you can hear a hissing if its leaking bad but sometimes not. Get him to check 1,2,3,4,7,8, i cant remember if 5,6 are water lines, just pull them off and check Get him to take off each one and put his finger over the solid tube from the intake and note if the revs rise or fall, do it for each one and with any luck you can find the leak
  4. Get your names down! Castle Combe Spring Action day - £25 a session (reduced from £35), Saturday, April 28, 2012 Various sessions available, book with maria@castlecombecircuit.co.uk to get the discount, you must book by March 31st. If we book a club stand i think we can get 12 free entry tickets if there is space, so dependent on interest may be an option as this saves another £10-15 entry per person. 1. Taggy 2. Stokedkid 3.
  5. Good effort Jamie, glad the guide helped you out Yeah its a cheap day out for track action, you get the whole car show on the day plus track time if you get it booked prior to the end of march! Maybe we can organise a club stand for this?
  6. Yes you can use your own car, or you can go on as a passenger, you only have to drive as fast you want so you wont ruin your car They have different sessions based on experience, i was shitting it too when i first went on in the starlet but once you get used to it you cant get enough of it, plus they teach you everything prior to going on.
  7. I am sick of adjusting my actuator all the time, i need an EBC in my life!

  8. Castle combe do a number of action days throughout the year and its a great way to get on track without spending loads of money. If you book it before 31st March, the sessions are only £25 each, rather than the £35 so a bloody bargain. I am gonna go down for this one so was wondering if anyone fancied it? 9. Yeah if you buy a passenger ticket i am happy to take you on for the ride Think its £10 for the day as a passenger in any session. I am going to buy a 3rd session too come pay day.
  10. you will always get a bit of oil in your intercooler, even if your turbo is fine. Its only if your car starts blowing out blue smoke on boost you need to worry.
  11. i still dont 100% know how it happened, was on wind street with my mates, we were all in a big circle with our arms on each other shoulders bouncing around and next thing, snap!. I think one of the lads accidently stamped on my shin as we were going off a kerb. I must have been in shock or somthing because it didnt hurt at all, i had to have an ambulance onto windstreet with tons of people around, was on the old gas and air too, high as a kite!
  12. I may as well join in, snapped my leg and broke my tibia and fibula on my works christmas party pissed!, had to have long pins put in and it took about 6 months to walk again, i was stuck in bed for 2 months!!
  13. Welcome to the club, why not get some pictures of the car up so we can look
  14. Yeah nice one Josh, turned out mine is working fine, knob in the rolling road gave it back to me some how with the boost set at about 1.6 bar!!
  15. you will be a legend at the car shows in this thing! Please tell me you will take it on the track
  16. yeah i had originally thought about forging the 4e but after reading up on the 5e it became obvious that if your gonna spend all that money why not go down the 5e route I am looking forward to putting a huge turbo on the thing lol
  17. no rubbish, the only thing that will damage it is if you dont mesh it properly and it sucks its own mesh in. As long as you tie it on tight you will be fine, your car will suck in air more easily like this.
  18. go get your self an uprated fuel pump, Fuel cut defender, fuel pressure regulator and an adjustable actuator and you could be running up near 185hp for 1.0bar of boost on the standard turbo, the difference is immense even on the stock turbo. I reckon if you bought the bits used on here you could get a fuel pump for £50, fuel cut defender, £40, fuel pressure regulator about £60, actuator, £30-50, dyno to setup the fueling £40 Would make your car seriously quick!!!
  19. In other news here are some pics of my donor 5e-fe which i plan to forge and then go TD05 into the EP70. Yummy!
  20. A couple of people were asking how I braced my manifold and Decat, I got my garage to weld on a bracket to the decat pipe and then its bolted onto the block, there are a few holes with threads on you can use where the old brackets used to go for the Cat. If you dont do this, your exhuast system over time WILL crack and break, or worse still you break your head and shear a section off. Its due to the weight of the whole exhaust system and turbo hanging off your head, quite literally. Here is how mine is done, its a bit difficult to see but its the bracket in the middle on the left. Pretty
  21. Ah cool, Now i just need to start getting all the bits together for the build!!
  22. Will be a while yet, decided to get this 5e in as they are pritty rare these days and the ones that do come up people are asking mad money for them, but yeah no worries when the time comes
