I rebuilt my engine and then it blew 5 months later! That was on td04 aswell. Now thinking about forgeing, wish i did it the first time now

If its a daily then id say leave it in I stripped my old n/a out to try and make it quicker but it only lasted 2 day and done my fucking head in lol The interior isnt that heavy anyway so i cant see the point

Will most likely be in touch with idrees tomorrow for a new gasket I no what its like mate as last time i took them out one of the ringlands just fell off lol Have just spoken to my dad and once i have all the bits will sort a day out to do it all

Ok thanks for them vids mate were really helpfull If your sure about them pistons mate il take them and pay for postage and everything should help me get this done alot quicker What head gasket would you recommend? Think i used a standars one last time

It is mate We shall see what the compression test says tomorrow and go from there What causes the rings to crack then? Also how much would a forged engine be if i was to build it myself?

If i had the money i would mate! Just spent £1000 on insurance and i take home £190 a week as im only on an apprenticeship so its hard to save alot of money

The thing is i dont want to fix it for it to happen again in 6 months, i dont get any luck what so ever with my cars!

No they were in good nik so were just cleaned up

Thats what i thought its just gutting cause i only rebuild the engine 5 months ago with new rings in it and its not been driven that hard as i only really drive it to work and back
