  2. just needed the sizes. fuck paying those prices when i can get alot better quality ones free from work actauly pretty impressive how much blitz can charge for that stuff and people actauly pay it
  3. i used to work in a call center and the amout of people that would mention they had been scamed by people calling them up claiming to be a random company and asking for bank details was impressive tbh yea your ment to inform them at the very start of the call but it only realy plays a part if it was for things like evidence in court or stuff
  4. yea boost creep is normaly what cause people to hit fuel cut and the car just kinda dies a plug and play ecu will sort that tho. decats are always gonna be better braced but alot comes down the to manifold aswell my race-tech decat isnt braced but the manifold is solid as fuck so supports the weight well a cheaply made manifold would probaly would just crack
  5. u sir are a legend i just spent 30 mins on that site and couldnt find that anyway lol
  6. long shot but am trying to find out the size of the teflon pipe used for the vacuum trying to get a proper pipe and connecter for it as mine never came with any cheers shaun

  8. pretty sure it would fit but the airbag on it wouldnt work so would just be for looks?
  9. sorry what lol? they never put in a roll cage as standard there was an option for a trd cage in the glanzas as an option extra but going by your avatar its the uk spec n/a u have
  10. wepr do a td04/05 hybrid

    Insurance

depends on loads of different factors but your best bet is always call around insurers that mainly deal in imports like sky/a-plan and most in the back of banzai and give them the quotes other companys gave they normaly try to atleast match that price td04 the way forward am just saving up money and buying the odd few bits will be running full forged 5e on a td05 by next year see if i can push 320+ break

    Insurance

21 1 years no claims so its pretty high at 1800 but thats for up to 240 bhp. roll cage/uprated brakes/coilovers main diffrence is the roll cage as only a handfull of insurers will touch you if u have one and thats with a-plan.

    Insurance

everything from my gearknob to my remap is covered. spent a fortune on my car dont fancy risking it for the sake of a couple hundred quid. and with 6 points on my licence i would be more than likely fired from work to which would cost me even more than the extra £30quid a month for my mods

    Insurance

then if your in a crash or a traffic officer that knows what a turbo looks like pops the bonnet thats 6 points and your car crushed not worth the risk sad thing is its idoits trying this that actauly make it cost more for people to insure there cars properly
  16. probaly get away with it on a n/a if its just for looks. mate wants a set on his golf and always showing pictures of peoples different set ups good if your into that sorta thing but most people are drawn to starlets for there power rather than just stance and looks
  17. yea seems to be alot of people doing forged 5es atm aswell which doesnt help lol
  18. yea they crack realy easy. decat will make it slightly louder but shouldnt be that much of a diffrence. never herd of a road side emissions test tho u would most likely fail that
  19. would just port it urself nice and simple, the stock engine will be more than capable, might be worth banging a uprated fuel pump in for bit of safety. but other than that wont have to touch the fueling. only thing to stay clear of is the autobahn or toyosport manifolds/decats and make sure u use proper toyota gaskets aswell farrrr to many people buying cheap gaskets off ebay and they last bout a week if your lucky.
  20. td04 is the way forward i have a spare kicking around but id want £60 for it. with the manifolds if u hear the word toyosport dont waste your money they dont last long at all
  21. yea the arcs are ment to be a nice improvement over stock. the plug and play ecus are pretty poorly described as self learning they are bascily set with no fuel cut /raised rev limit and would have had certain mods such as air filter, exhaust, higher boost level took in to account when it was maped then when u plug them in they can trim the fuel slightly to your set up.for safety u prob would want to get it on the rolling road and check fueling but i never did for a few months and mine was fine i used a blitz access it was great dont think theres much difference between the diffrent plug and plays so i would probaly just go with what ever came up first at a fair price. cant think of a good way to describe boost spike lol. but its because your getting more air coming in to the engine it leaves quiker and when u reach your desired boost level the wastegate on the turbo opens to vent the excess exhaust gasses allowing u to maintain a steady boost of say 0.8bar. however because there is a larger volume of exhaust gasses trying to escape the wastegate is to small to release the extra causing the boost to "spike" to say 0.85bar its pretty easily solved u can get a dremel with a grinding wheel on it and just enlarge the wastegate hole slightly larger to account for the extra volume of gasses. its more common to get on a cold morning/ night as the air is alot more denser. dunno if that all makes sense lol id personaly get a decat it will free up nice bit of power and most the plug and plays overfuel slightly so would destroy your cat overtime anyway. so might aswell swap it out for a decat and keep the cat for mot time. ecu, decat, manifold ,actuator then probaly a boost gauge so u can keep an eye on it and an arc tmic if u see one going at a good price not totaly sure would u would pull from that but if u wind up the boost to say a bar think u would get 180+ easy
  22. to be honest when i first joined i knew nothing about starlets or the workings on most turbo cars. now am in the process of building my own engine and its down to this site. the reason i donated to start was because the site is easily worth it. paying to sell on the site i agree with but for buying i dont think its such a great idea that would then limit the audience your actauly selling to and if your just looking for a little cheap bit for your car u might have to pay more for the ability to buy it than the actual part costs. good to see you back geo hope you will be back on more often now and ill have no issues at all paying any membership costs u choose to do
