  1. well had a good play around with it the clutch itself is fine and the selecters on the box move now. so i can only assume its the shifter cables? how much of a bitch are these to change as it looks to be a right bitch of a job
  2. Played with the selectors on the gearbox one moves one doesn't. The box was rebuilt under 500 miles ago so if its the syncros not gonna be impressed
  3. Just out for a drive went to change gear and herd a crunch from gearbox and now cars stuck in gear. Gearsticks realy losely moving up and down but won't go from side to side at all. Any ideas the cause of this? I've managed to get outside a garage but there closed till tuesday. And I live at the top of a hill so can't get car home.am hoping its a cheap fix like a shifter cable but have no idea realy Any help be great Cheers shaun
  4. yea the spark plug gaskets are like £12 ech and theres 4 so thats £48 straight away the actual see around the cover you will need to change is under a tenner am pretty sure.
  5. ahh i wanted to make some shows this year but new jobs doing stupid hours and all my extra cash is going into the 5e. need to get a couple of the guys from around glasgow area to meet up when your cars up and running
  6. good to see your making progress when do u get your license back?
  7. got my 5e rebuild kit but a few of the gaskets am clueless what they are lol. any one tell me what the ones with out names are? also has anyone ordered spark plug seals / and injector seals recently and remeber the price? i renewed them all few months back and the price on them was stupid but i got them with a pile of other parts.
  8. is it just the big cover of the gasket your replacing? if so they are pretty cheap from your local motor factor if your changing them all like spark plug seals they are pretty costly
  9. dont even waste your time buying them u could make stronger ones by melting down any easter eggs u get tomorrow. buy proper toyota ones they dont cost that much and will save u having to redo the job
  10. should notice a nice change in fuel usage aswell i went from blitz ecu to emu and noticed a fair difference. that blitz gauge would look dam sexy if it was black. and on a totaly unrelated matter fancy swaping your silver blitz boost screen for my black on
  11. providing u get them of the same flange's they are ment to be interchangable . but would be intresting to see if the toyo manifold would hold up to the extra abuse
  12. thats lucky. sad thing is they will end up either getting away with it or getting fuck all for it
  13. cheers sucks staying in middle of nowhere lol. one of the guys i work with does mechanics for a rally team in his spare time so hes said if i need a hand or any special tools to give him a shout hes already sorted me out with good mates rates on machine work so ill see if hes got one going spare for a few weeks. seems to be fair few people trying to build 5e's themself now. reakon it was down to taggys epic guide
  14. ill go mooching at work see if i can convince one of the guys to donate me one of his
  15. good to see another toms bumper need to get my eye lids sprayed and on makes it look so much meaner
  16. ahh i see sam seemed reluctant to answer my questions untill i mentioned a refund then he got it all sorted out asap. mine didnt come in ross box but i suspect that was to keep the postage costs down as it was a tight fit in postage box they arrived in. all in all happy was a big saving getting them from him as he made sure i didnt get stung with any import tax
  17. cant decide if i should get one or not lol was just gonna build it on desk in my spare room my post mans better tho
  18. these took just under a month to arrive i was told they would be posted out with in 2days but 2 weeks later there was still no tracking details so emailed to kick up shit got them posted next day from states took 12 days for them to arrive from then but for the pistons and scat rods it cost me £697 delivered to my door from states so cant complain still need to get pile more parts anyway
  19. dont have any tools to measure them properly but the report does confirm they should be 74.5mm just wasnt quite sure did your pistons come in a box? my rings and pins did but the pistons just came in the ross paper
  20. pistons finaly arrived today and on the box with the rings it states there for 74.5mm as requested but when i was having a look at the picture inside it has 74mm stamped into it?. to be fair doesnt look like they could fit 74.5mm on there as the space is pretty tight but dunno if am just being paranoid or they have sent me wrong pistons but correct rings. wont be till next month they go to a machine shop so just looking for some conformation if they are correct or not as i only have so many days left to complain if they are wrong
  21. fucking wankers is all i have to say have had to chase them away from my car when i was at work once.
  22. i love the gauges but fuck me do u have to be insane to pay that for a set of gauges
  23. I've herd they can be a total ball ache to fit but once on they seem todo the job fine
  24. what a legend lol. some reverse trolling there
  25. most people no he wouldnt damage it and would take care of them for lending it but its the fact there so rare if they lend it to him they part wouldnt be as rare its much like the cruise bonnets they were only 2-3 of them and all the owners decided to keep them rare by not lending them out. now he has managed to get his hands on one theres alot more of them floating arround making the "wow" factor alot less. much like toms spats and sideskirts i want for my car i always search the jap sites looking for a set and still not found any and if i ever did even tho i no iddy would offer me a great deal to copy them i have to admit i wouldnt lend them to him unless i was to sell the car. as i like the idea of my car looking that bit diffrent and not so easy for people to copy also the time he bought it he would have a hard time selling it on for close to the same price as they person would no he was going to copy it and sell reps for a fraction of the price. take into account tooling and what not and that for a splitter it wouldnt have a massive selling price think he would need it to be like £200 at a push for him to actualy make any profit
