might take you up on that ill be doing lots of little tidy up jobs and getting bits for engine till i get a garage then ill start work on actauly doing any mechanical work. heading out to car later going to take a few bits off i wont need and put them up for sale and start to make a list of parts and such i need to buy.its been about 3 hours and misses is already complaining shes sick of me hanging around the house complaining am bored
-
yea i think ill try it myself new guy just started at work and he has a massive air compressor he doesnt use anymore and hes said i can borrow it so ill prob pinch that get a couple decent guns and have ago main thing will be the prep work for it long as i can get that perfect i dont mind having to get some extra paint incase i make any mess ups
-
thats my only prob i take ages to do anything but since its normaly driving the car that distracts me i should be already going to do as much as i can anything i struggle with ill prob outsource but have alot of respect for people like iddy and taggy who just seem to get stuck in and still do a perfect job. so seems only fair to try it myself. no lockup yet me and the misses are looking to get a house with a garage but we are looking after her 3 sisters right now as her mums sick so its kinda been put to one side for the moment so bodywork will be last on the list once thats been sorted
-
yea am horrid for pictures i go out to take a few pictures and end up driving for hours and forgetting lol. not much will be done next 2 months or so will just be getting odd parts moving into a house with a garage so thats prob gonna take up some cash for abit. ive done a fair bit to the car since ive had it but nothing close to what i want only way to get it done was to take it off the road. got a plan in my head what i want to do a few things left to figure out but hopefully once its done it will be a one of a kind

been debating when to take the car off the road to start work on it filled up the car with petrol today and went out a drive and seen the traffic give me a flash to pull over. pulled over and they asked if i new my mot expired yesterday lucky they seen my stunned face and just told me to take it home and park it up till it was sorted so have decided now is the perfect time to take it off the road for a few months just gutted i only got to drive it a few hours last month and its now got a full tank of v power in it lol. on to bigger and better things and hopefully ill get it up and running in time to hit next years show season and put a few faces to the names

going to relocate the battery to the boot just wondering how everyone has done it? am tempted just to use the battery clamp from the front put two holes in the floor with rubber bungs in it to keep it secure and run the positive down the side of the car under the trim. for the negative do i just bung the two cables from the negative onto any good solid bits of the chassis and leave the other earth cables in the engine bay to help get a good earth? does anyone no the size of terminal for the import batterys? and whats the best gauge cable to use? any pics of how you have done it be great cheers shaun

Alternator could be on its last legs get a muilty meter on the battery and check the voltages

ive had my wms's about a year now and ive not had a single time they havent preformed perfect thats ~230ish bhp and some fast paced twist windy b roads almost everyday
-
theres alot of options which will effect price best bet is to speak to keri about what your looking for
-
ive got a cambelt kit got it from camskills would take £30 for it delivered if its anygood to you?
-
ive prob said it a hundred times but the cash i spent on my wms brakes was worth every penny no doubt its saved me from the wrong side of a tree many times there a straight fit aswell
-
yea my misses stoped talking to me for like a awhile when i paid for them cause she thinks its a waste of money but wasnt going to risk losing out to the only set ive seen. ive seen 2 toms scoops for sale while looking for the spats but am realy not a fan of the scoop at all tbh if i can source a spoiler at somepoint ill prob get a scoop aswell just for the full kit factor. it drove me insane looking for these parts so over the moon to have them sitting in the living room car will be coming off the road at winter and ill have the whole car sprayed just todo these parts justice paul few pics of the spoiler can be found here http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=11330

spent the last 16 months trawling jap auction sites and what not trying to find ep91 tom's spats and never seen a single set for sale neither did i see the matching side skirts which just made me want them more and more then what do you no the spats and skirts just pop up in the for sale section. so whipped out the credit card and had to get them. came home from work today to find a big package wont be getting fitted for awhile prob untill whole cars resprayed but am 99.9% sure it will be the only ep91 tom's kitted car in the uk so think i might just have to search for the spoiler to to complete the car :harhar: cant find camera to take pics of them but for those who dont no what the spats n skirts look like

id just bang it on at 0.6 till u get the ecu then wind it up to 1bar. cant think if i have said before but id get an uprated oil feed/return race-tech do them. the oem pretty bad for snaping when u run an aftermarket manifold like mine did
-
you should be fine running stock boost till u get the funds for the ecu
-
luckily it hasnt effected me. mate works in a rbs branch tho and hes just getting abuse shouted at him constantly at work lol pretty shocking its lasted so long tho i can understand when something goes offline for a few hours but almost a week

_shaun_ replied to Nanglebadger's topic in News & General Announcements
good to see its just the topic that needs to be approved hopefully it should all run smoothly because tgtt can be a right pain to try sell stuff -
was the crank with 4et out of a gt? all the ep9* cranks are the same part number regardless of turbo or not however a diffrent part number is used for the ep8*. so would make sense for the 4e an 4et to be the diffrence between the gt and glanza cranks not that it realy matters
