  1. The guy got back to me after I sent him a message to his email (which I got when sending paypal payment). He says that Yodel has returned the shockers to him and they have been sent via Hermes and should be here monday. I'll see what happens....
  2. I'll give it until Monday then I'll open a dispute. He will hopefully contact me before then, he might just work long hours and not get much chance to log on. I'll see what happens
  3. He said he tracked it and its returned to depot. But no, he hasnt given me a tracking number. The last email I sent to him, I asked what company it was sent by and are they redeliverying or do I need to collect it. Still waiting on a reply
  4. Hi guys, I need some advice on what to do...... Basically I ordered some shock absorbers off a guy at tgtt around 2 weeks ago on the 18/10/12 I have paid through paypal with fees added. The guy said the courier was booked for Tuesday (23/10/12). It has been well over a week and still no goods. I contacted the guy and he said they had been returned to the depot. The courier did not leave a card and I asked the guy if the courier wants me to pick them up or if they are getting redelivered, to which I have had no reply. The guy logs in like once every 3 days so it's a bit of a hassle to get in touch, waiting every time for a reply. It seems genuine as he has been a member on tgtt for a while and has sold lots of stuff in the past. The main problem here is my MOT ran out on 1/11/12 so now I don't have a car until these shockers come. What I'm asking is..... How long does it usaully take for a courier to redeliver? Should I wait it out to see if the courier redelivers? Why was I not left an attempted delivery card? How long do I have to put in a claim with paypal after payment date if it all goes tits up? Does anyone know the guy off tgtt? His username is idontunderstand I am not slating the guy at all as he's probably being true with me its just that I need some shock absorbers asap! And its a ballache getting hold of him because he doesnt log in often. thanks, dan

  14. I use meguiars quick detailer and clay bar, comes up a treat. Followed by auto glym super resin polish. I'm deffo not an expert at detailing though but for a noob, I found this pretty quick with good results. Always going to use a clay bar from now on, you can see and feel the difference in your paintwork straight away.

  19. Hi guys, I've had an ongoing problem for the past couple of years. My passenger side caliper tends to stick. I'll use the brake and the caliper will stay on a bit, making the brake disc VERY hot, slows the car down a fair bit and drinks the fuel so its quite a problem. When it first started I would take the caliper off, lube up the slides and also press the brake while the caliper was off as it was the actual piston that kept sticking, the wind the piston back in with a G clamp. Anyways, I kept doing this everytime it happened. Then I got another second hand caliper and replaced the existing one, it was working fine for a few months now its done it again. I'm just wondering what the best solution is? would a caliper service kit be enough, do I buy another secondhand caliper or is it a case of buying a new caliper? A service kit is £25 for the pair, a secondhand caliper is around £20-£30 each and new calipers are around £70-£130 New Caliper Secondhand Service kit cheers guys

  24. Ye you have to go for a Vic check which just checks all numbers on car etc to check its identity. Once this is done you will get sent the log book, costs under 50 quid IIRC. They don't really bother checking quality of repair I thought? Most of my cars before now have been write offs as we used to buy and sell them, never affected my insurance Dan
