We managed to get the idle down. But when we investigated more the engine had been installed rather shockingly (missing vacuum hoses etc), bad loom and when we did a compression test we found it was down on piston 2 IIRC and an oil down the bore test revealed that the piston/rings had gone hence additional bad running. But you do know this is 'YOUR PROJECT CAR'??!!!?! The owner wasnt on any of the forums that i was aware of.
