Doesn't hurt to give them a clean up with some electrical contact cleaner etc and see if it improves, if it improves it might be worth picking up a new dizzy cap. But be sure before throwing money away then it being something else EDIT: 3rd pic down of where the leads plug in, mine were like that and I had a crack from where the previous owner decided that tightening everything up to a billion lbs was a good idea! new one arrived and they were all shiney. She's ran fine since!

Don't mate, unless your having MAJOR financial problems you will regret it in the long run. You got a daily snotter? Run that for a while then take the V for a spin on the occasional weekend. Smiles per mile will make up for it!

So is it boosting really high? I.E just keeps on going instead of releasing?

It is, it's a bargain really, but no one is willing to spend that at the mo. Harsh times and all that.

The £500 one, aslong as it's mechanically sound you could have that back to its prime for less than a £1000 all in Just a thought.

Get rid of the manual boost controller bud and just use the actuator, replied on your other thread how to adjust it.

Turbine swirly thingy? Ey? Any pics I'm intrigued! Lol Manual boost controllers are generally a bit pump, get rid and fit either a HKS actuator or an EBC

Disconnect the pin/arm from the turbo (usually a lil circlip thingy) And then wind it out (you may need a little spanner) then test drive and see what she boosts too ;-)

Same boat, although seriously contemplating selling up and buying a monster. Good luck on the hunt mate! Be careful if you do go down that route and properly inspect it, not exactly the most reliable/cheap to fix cars on the market.

But personally I wouldn't go for any of those on your list, if I had to though I'd go for the A3! You considered an MG ZT diesel? 50mpg, BMW engine and dirt cheap because of the badge? I'm assuming I got this nissan so cheap because it looks like a melted jelly mould.

I was thinking about this today (when things confuse me I tend to dwell on them :-P ) It's obviously ran lean to go like that, in your spec you say you have a SARD FPR? There are probably more fake SARDs on the market than genuines, they have a tendancy to fail/fuck shit up. Are you 100% that its running faultlessly?
