  1. James at JDmodified will be able to do this for ya. Located in Basingstoke
  2. That won't be possible because there would be no pad touching the disc as the disc would be too small. Calipers are designed to work within a certain range of disc sizes. Exactly this, if the tyres lock up then your overpowering the force the tyres can produce.
  3. Try Nengun mate, make sure your sitting down though

It's excessive EGT's which have caused the failure of a component in this case, the AFR and knock levels are fairly irrelevent. Upon removal of the head did you check the timing belt? If this has retarded slightly it would have caused the exhaust valve to open later, keeping excessive pressure and heat energy in the cylinder during a time when it shouldn't have been. So much more to tuning a car than just AFR and knock levels, I think many people forget this. The safe running of an engine relies on many more parameters.
  5. I think they are discontinued mate, although some Toyota dealers seem to be able to get more stuff than others so its worth a try.
  6. You will need to adjust the idle screw and the full throttle screw. Adjust the idle screw so that its rev's high but the car doesn't move (when on the ground). Then to setup the full throttle screw you will need to run the car flat out, you'll be able to tell it needs more fuel as it will look slow and feel sluggish. Keep opening the screw till you get it right and it goes like shit off a shovel lol. I used to have a schumacher fusion, rapid fucker 80mph+, that had 3 carb screws and needed adjusting everytime I used it. They are good fun but a pain in the ballsack to get working right.

Whats your fuelling system mate? Have an EGT gauge? AFR gauge?
  8. If you understand a few concepts, how an engine works, how an engine makes power, what sensors do which, what sensors can have an effect, then any ecu is fairly easy to programme, providing the user gets on well with the software. Me personally am not a fan of piggyback ecu's as there is too much "lieing" going on. The best thing you can do to familiarise yourself with software and whats needed to map an ecu, is to search round manufacturer's website and download the software and have a fiddle. The best one I can recommend for a beginner is Haltech, you get a whole document help section ex
  9. An adjustable panhard rod will only bring the alignment back central, so that the drivers side wheel is not sticking out past the arch compared with the passenger side which will be inside the arch. It has no baring on ride height. Where the items brand new when you brought them? If second hand it takes good skill to set both sides of the axle at the same height due to different weight variations. The best thing is to get the car corner weighted to ensure that there is an even amount of weight on each side of each axle. However you will still find that both sides will be unequal in terms o
  10. Will get there in the end mate, I started sanding it down the other day, no pics as of yet but waiting for the rain to fuck off so I can get the hoover out and carry on. I'll prob end up sticking the plastics back on, but just want it looking mint
  11. A lot of people don't like the doobie kits, but I think they are pretty cool, much different to the usual. Saying that not a fan on the skirts as they look far too wide lol.
  12. Depends on the size of the wastegate penny and the boost pressure you plan to run. Nothing wrong with internal gates at all, but when you start increasing the boost pressure it can't cope.
  13. Make up some customer piping, easy enough to do, you should only need the hot side. 2.5 inch is plenty big enough.
  14. Follow the waterways more than anything else, this should ensure you shouldn't get it wrong
  15. Here mate : http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/forums/showwiki.php?title=TPS+throttle+position+sensor+set+up+procedure Have you tried a diagnostic test to see if there is any codes?
  16. The helical diffs don't make a noise. Its only the clutch type that knocks.
  17. 6 pots is a bit overkill on a car that weighs sub 900kg imo. 4 pots is plenty, if you want more power just increase the disc size
  18. 5 bar fuel pressure?! Thats insane, no wonder your running rich. Should be around 2.4 bar mate.
  19. It seems to be quite a common occurance at the moment, I've seen a few threads about it recently
  20. Is a monsterous leak from the timing belt side just below the exhaust ports? You've put the gasket on the wrong way round if so Gasket will need replaced and new head bolts I'm afraid.
  21. Gonna look forward to cleaning mine in the summers evening, after work with a couple of beers, some good music or radio 1 on a friday night, bliss
  22. 4E or 5E? 4E would prob best to stick to the td04, 5E a td05 would be no problem.
  23. Managed to get off my ass and start cracking on with this while the sun was shining yesterday Firstly I ripped the whole rear interior out, all plastic trims, carpets etc. Came across a lot of paint on the roof lining, the rear window rubbers, the front window rubbers and the rear window latches, It was a mess. I got the good old white spirit out and gave these parts a good scrub with scotchbrite, didn't get any pictures of this though But heres some pictures to show how poorly painted it is, with lots of runs over the towers and whoever done it even tried to paint behind the rear li
