  1. You'll have no problems with any boost creep or overboosting providing the wastegate is the right size
  2. Argh sounds good mate, which omex did you go for in the end? The 710?
  3. Many people used to moan that they lost power from putting a filter on due to restriction, but now days filters are so advanced you barely lose any horsepower, like 1-2hp due to restriction. Its a safe price to pay.
  4. Just remove the thermostat and pump water through that way, that will clear any remaining chemicals in the water galleries and water pump.
  5. x2, all the shit gets mixed up and you will severly reduce the service life of your engine. Think of how the piston rings are going to be when theres grinding paste entering the cylinders. Not to mention if any grit gets past the seals in the turbo it will make mince meat of the bearings.
  6. Like I said, it depends on the size of the wastegate penny. Not many turbo's are able to accomodate such large pennies like 34mm+. Boost control would just be done via actuator and EBC. Everyone seems to think that external wastegate is the best thing ever, but if you dive a little deeper, internal gates can be just as good providing the right turbo.
  7. Not correct, anti-freeze does purely that, it allows the water to go below 0 degrees C. It does not increase the boiling point and does not increase the waters specific heat capacity. The only way of increasing the boiling point is by raising the pressure of the closed system. Race engines do not run anti-freeze because it affects the cooling capacity of the water, hence why a lot of people will tell you to run pure water when doing track days.
  8. Why have you wired it into the stock existing lambda loom? Unless running an aftermarket ecu to make use of this it's not doing any good really. The sensor itself should be mounted like 36 inches from the turbo I think it is.
  9. I believe all the livesports stuff comes with like a plaque/sticker.
  10. The largest gap possible for the strongest spark mate, but without blowing it out. Trial and error really as it will vary on engine to engine. She gonna be mapped on Wednesday? Be interesting to see this Omex working bud
  11. Theres no advantage at all, it depends on the turbine and how well it flows, also the size of the wastegate. Internal wastegates work just as well as external, on the right turbo.
  12. That was my thoughts, the contour lines seemed different on the second one. But looks very similar to the first mk1 livesports lip. I've never seen that lip before so assume it to be custom made rather than off the shelf?
  13. Kinda looks like a livesports lip with the middle cut out and smoothed. http://www.rhdjapan.com/live-sports-front-lip-spoiler-ep82-51010 Or http://www.rhdjapan.com/live-sports-front-lip-spoiler-a-ep82-starlet-50261
  14. Had the same problem with a previous blitz unit, turned out the solenoid was fucked and there £250 alone.
  15. I'll see how the weathers doing tomorrow, its snowing here and has been all day
  16. Believe the ecu is programmed to use the MAF, on other standalones you do have the option to switch between MAF or MAP, bu't not sure if its an option on the FC as I've never used the software.
  17. It would be far wiser to drive to a tuner, and install the ecu there and have the ecu remapped/tweaked to suit your setup. It will require atleast a tweak as every engine is different.
  18. If you do that, don't drive the car at all. It could well end up knocking its tits off and the engine will be destroyed in seconds.
  19. Looking good buddy, some quality parts there Have to get some videos of this when shes running mate!
  20. Try with the throttle cable first, it could be that as you've come off the accelerator and throttle is stuck open slightly due to the cable sticking
