  1. What gains would you get? It only allows the tyre to run cooler, which is no good when trying to get grip. Plus an 8j rim isn't going to be light.
  2. Its probably not best to run a low temp stat in cold weather as the ecu will never get into closed loop and you'll use a load more fuel. The gauge will rise when stationary because there is no cold air hitting the radiator.
  3. A wider tyre doesn't give you more grip either by the way, only creates drag. The cruise demo glanza used to run a 225 profile, on Advan RG rims I think, that might be worth a look.
  4. lol great load of presents your gonna get then buddy! I might pop along to Japfest to have a ganders at this beast
  5. That collector looks immense! Flange looks like a T3 style,
  6. Thats a good spec there pal! I wanna see this intake manifold How long till shes back mate? Must be getting close.
  7. Evo one is better imo. Damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn jizzzzz
  8. Ricky has posted up the dyno graph of his 350bhp kit, I'm sure there is one of a td04 kit somehwere. Tuning Developments have put up their graph of a td04 vs another well known brand. I think your best bet would be to look at the power leaderboard and check out what kit everyone is using who is running a td04 turbo. http://www.s314kba.co.uk/leaderboard/
  9. I doubt it unless you can get the offset down quite a bit. They need spacers when just using the WMS 4 pots with smaller discs. Then if you get the offset down a lot you'll need the arches rolling. Ball ache really.
  10. Thats normal mate, you must of had a dodgy thermostat before. The temp should go to half way/little over and stay there, but should not overheat.
  11. Cheers Wardy! I did check out your car in the photo gallery section of stripped out ep's. Looks proper posh mate. I will be giving it a good going over with somthing like a 120 grit paper, then prob go for a 300/400 grit to get any last shit up and to get a good finish before painting. How was it going over all the lumps and bumps with a small roller? The smooth hammerite stuff doesn't leave any brush marks in the tight area's then? Thanks again.
  12. As long as boost pressure is below fuel cut you should be fine. Although I would probably say run a little under 0.6 bar just to be safe. Don't be a pussy with the engine either, give it some stick and put it under load. It will be within the first 20 miles or so if anything bad is going to happen.
  13. Yes mate discontinued I think I saw that they were £215 each anyway lol. Seems to be prices vary. Not fussed on the finish really, as long as it doesn't flake. I would probably prefer a gloss finish though as it will be going white. Any tips?
  14. Went to Toyota today and ordered a new headlight bracket, will be picking that up on Wednesday, was also going to order quadlights and front grille but they are discontinued On the look out now to get the front end looking like a car again.
  15. Still have the quadlights and front grille mate?
  16. I think the sound deadening has already been taken out mate. I am swaying towards using a rattle can and just taking my time with it, I've heardof people using hammerite before which is why I asked. I've got brush marks on the inside of the rear door cards but don't know what was used. Cheers for the tip mate
  17. What have you guys used to paint the inside?
  18. As title really, I'm looking at painting the inside of my car in the next few days, im wondering which paint would be best to use? It looks as if someone has already tried to paint the inside as there is brush marks behind the rear door cards. I know a lot of people use smooth hammerite, but will this leave brush marks when painted on? The spare wheel well has been painted with a rattle can and has started to flake, so will I be better off getting some smooth hammerite or a rattle can job? Thanks Adam
  19. A fpr is always a wise component to have. The ecu has no connection with the regulator as it is a mechanical device, although it will inject more fuel.
  20. Hopefully buddy, can't wait to get started on it! Yeah it is KTL's old shell, I only realised last night when I was looking through some pics and Danb87 also had the shell and been talking to him quite a lot recently. Dan was quite disapointed in the state of it as he said it was mint when he had it, but i'll get it back to its best. I'll drop you a pm Jamie, I got 2 genuine Toyota sets here bud. Also found out that behind the rear door cards and B pillars have been painted by a brush as you can see the brush marks, does anyone know if Hammerite leaves brush marks when painted
