The 2871 will be good for 350whp mate, the 2860 will be good for around 320whp.

Cusco 1.5 way, 2 way is too much for a fwd car. Fidanza flywheel, clutch really depends on how hard a bite your after.
-
The diff oil your using is good, but a lot of people recommend adding a friction modifier to reduce clunking. That may be worth a try mate.

My dads got 2 of these and paid £180 for a brand new one from Japan through NewEra. They don't fit the E series engine as I tried on my 5E.

If your running E85 and high compression ratio, you will have no problems spooling a gt28 or gt30. The 3071 will have more power as its a much larger turbo, the turbine side is slightly larger than the 2860, (53.85mm gt28 - 56.5mm for the gt30). The 2871 would be a better turbo in terms of flow, but it uses the same turbine wheel size as the 2860. This you would think means more power and less lag, but the problem is that the turbine wheel could be choking flow and it would need more rpm speed to get anymore top end power. The 2871 wouldn't be a too bad upgrade but would not recommend going to the 2876 as this is way too unbalanced in terms of power output and spool. Depends really what you want from the car, if you want good spool and still able to make 400bhp then opt for the gt28. If you can take a little more lag and have a greater power output then opt for the gt30.

The clutch type diffs normally knock when slow turning, does it do this? You could have a cusco lsd as they knock. The oil your using is fine.

Jamie, This will fit a gt28, gt30 and gt35 turbos mate. The turbine inlet flange is the same for all turbos. Check here mate : http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=tp&Product_Code=ATP-FLS-093&Category_Code=TTH The downpipe flange is also the same : http://www.atpturbo.com/mm5/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=tp&Product_Code=ATP-FLS-094&Category_Code=TTH -

Looking good buddy, 10 hour trip man, you must be tired lol. Well worth it when shes back though! Just read this over again, I think I need a white GT man, love it!

The GTX series turbo's don't actually spool any faster than a GT frame, but they do flow 10-15% more. The gt30 with an .84 back end would be extremely laggy. The gt28 with .48 or .64 back end would be far better and still capable of producing 400+whp. I have a gt28 kit for sale if hes interested mate

Hmm, I've heard its a bad idea to use 2 different size pumps though when using a swirl pot as it can cause it to run dry at high rpm. Is it possible to extend the fuel pick up further down into the tank? I found the pump you was on about buddy, do you know if the stock pump has an inlet offset or if the inlet is central?
-
Ah sweet, I didn't know it was an intake pump, I thought they were all external. Is it still possible to run a swirl pot with an intank pump? Just thinking of fuel surge. Just having a look at the aeromotive stuff now. lol I will mate, don't think its going to be that big though
-
As long as the engines not knocking mate you'll be fine
-
Why would you need to cut the bend off to rebuild it? Yes they can be rebuilt.
-
Says account suspended? PM Sacha on here mate
-
I'll check out the aeromotive gear mate, cheers Whats the best way to get it from the tank to the pump though if mounted externally?

Normal condition driving AFR is irrelevant unless using programmable management system. When using the FPR + FCD method always tune to ensure the engine is safe at WOT. If using a rising rate type regulator it will do a pretty good job of adjusting the fuel pressure according to boost and vacuum levels.
-
Always a good thing to have is a fpr, regardless what management your running. It gives more scope in terms of fuel flow, plus it helps atomise the fuel better.
-
Pauter. But they are about a third more in price than scat/pec.

Cheers Matty, i'm intirgued as well Bit of an update. I done some calculations last night on what fuel pump and injectors I'm going to need to run to fuel this monster. It would appear that the Walbro fuel pumps are not good enough for anywhere near 600bhp as what has been claimed previously. Infact it would be pushing its limits at around 540bhp, and even then I couldn't see the pump lasting long. Now I'm at a bit of a dilemma, do I just run a large single pump or double up on two small pumps. Using a large fuel pump will end up flowing loads of fuel back to the tank when cruising, this will push up the fuel temperature, and as the fuel temp is increased it loses its octane rating. Think I may go for 2 x 255 lph fuel pumps, one to feed a swirl pot and then the second to supply fuel to the engine.
