  1. Looking good mate Bet them valve caps wern't cheap knowing Nengun prices lol.
  2. Swap the sumps and oil pick ups for the 4e items onto the 5e engine. You will also need to swap the oil filter housings as it has the turbo feed from the 4efte motor. Some say this can be held on with the one large centre bolt, others drill and tap the 5e block for the other 3 fittings. You will also need the 4efte thermostat housing.
  3. The ecu's both work in exactly the same way. They don't offer any options regarding ALS LC etc. Only the PFC pro offers LC which was never an option for the starlet.
  4. Ah thats cool mate cheers. Thats the only thing with the yarris buckets is they can only be within a certain valve clearence even when turned down. Suppose it could be possible to machine the valve spring seat but thats hassle and im sure thats what has to be done with the cruise cams. The glanza was black mate They are zisco springs buddy. Although they have no specs with them so its just going to be a fit and hope they work alright. I know Spuddy is running them and has said you can run valve lift upto around 13mm which is more than anyones going to need.
  5. They sure do Lew, just need some harnesses now, but will prob get that sorted when I know what cage/harness bar I can get hold of Yes mate they are the Yaris ones, got them from Zisco, was told they were the largest size and to just skim them to get the correct valve clearence Thanks for the kind words mate. Is about time mate! I'll have to pop down when shes built, you and Shorty will have yours done before this lol. I used to live in Basingstoke but moved up here for uni, so will have to come back a little more often Where did you get your solid buckets? Any advantage to them being chunkier?
  6. Water is better at removing heat than oil is, hence why when you get out the shower it makes you feel cold as the water evaportates off your body, this does not happen with oil. If the turbo has the option to run water feed, then use it, it will prolong the life of the turbo and they are there for a reason.
  7. The belt should not be up too tight, nor too loose. You should be able to twist the belt through 90 degrees. but obviously not so easy to twist it, needs to have tension and just make the 90 degree twist.
  8. Bad luck man, Hopefully hasn't done anymore serious damage. What size is the 15's CE28?
  9. Should have brought a GT That is all
  10. I found the GT seats suprisingly light.
  11. Need gone before the end of the month, Looking to buy new turbo then and need the money.
  12. I'll come to this, won't be in the starlet though, don't mind parking out the way.
  13. You can get some watanabe wheels pretty cheap. Some of the lightest about without paying £800 +
  14. May have it coming out the bonnet, drag styleee
  15. 370's should be alright. I've heard of 260bhp being achieved on stock injectors that were flat out at 100% duty cycle.

  17. What size are the wheels? Thats quite heavy man. A lot of JDM 15's are around the 4kg mark.
  18. Ah cheers for that Marc, I was a bit suspicious as the fit was pretty messy and doesn't line up very well. Bit ashamed of the car at the moment tbh, its a right state, but that will be changing as soon as its back on the road Thanks mate, so tempting to tell, but I don't wanna make a fool of myself if it doesn't end up fitting Ta lad, is a shame but I just fancy something different and save me money in the long run, after doing a bit of research I had actually seen how poorly Garrett turbos are manufactured and that the design has pretty much the same for a long long time. That was newspaper mate, I ripped that shit open! Think I'll jizz over the box the turbo comes in before it even comes out! No comment
  19. Don't think anyone has tried them tbh, after all the shit with the last batch kinda puts people off. Be better off buying some Ivan Tighe cams which a lot of people use and have been spot on.
  20. Agree with what HD has said. Build the bottom end up, even if its just 1 rod at a time, then mark the position that needs to be notched. Get the dremel out and take some material off, any good engineer will be able to tell by a good eye how much needs to be removed and will get it right pretty much first time. It only needs the crank in, and one rod at a time. Can't see it taking anymore than a couple of hours tbh.
  21. Not sure on the turbosmart ones tbh mate, prob be a diargram floating around the net somewhere. Edit : Connect the bottom port to the turbo and leave the top port to vent to atmosphere. http://www.turbosmart.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/WG_Ultragate38.pdf Little over half way down the page
  22. What brand of ex gate is it? The tial one you just supply a feed into the side and leave the top port open to atmosphere.
  23. This is how good the cusco diff is with 300+ hp Ah nice bargain there then!
  24. Try running it on the wastegate spring first mate see if that improves anything
