The problem is starting to get slightly worse, started off a while back that it would smoke after a long idle period and now it smokes once the power is put back on after lifting off aswell. No smoke at all during normal driving or boosting though and from reading on here i'm pretty sure it's the valve stem seals although I would rather check before changing them as it was only a couple of months ago I changed the manifold and there was no oil.

Yeah they can insure them when you put your reg in it will come up as a corolla or some crap but then you just select your car as a GT Turbo and your sorted.

I'm 23 with 2 years ncb paying £55 a month (think the deposit was £90) so can't complain as I was paying 60 last year with swiftcover and £90 the year before that in my corsa redtop lol.
-
Aye sky insurance were more than double! They can't put my policy up it's a signed contract for the year and they have to stick to that unless I breach there terms and conditions
-
I'm with express myself they were the cheapest for me by miles. I take it you have tried the usual suspects (gocompare, moneysupermarket and confused)? Also worth giving swiftcover a try depending on your age as they only insure 21+

try express insurance and tiger.co.uk

Not sure if this is an extra or not but must be pretty rare as I have never heard of it.

Not looking at spending that kinda cash. Got good discs and pads so will settle for new copper pipes and a 6 line braided hose kit.

can someone recommend an affordable starter toolkit/oil sump tray
steve-gers replied to Billy SR's topic in Lifestyle General
This is brilliant value for money and has a lifetime guarantee, can't recommend it highly enough although you have probably bought tools by now lol. -

I just use hammerite out of the tin and paint it on neatly with a brush and always had good results. The good thing about it is if your caliper is a bit rusty then it's fine because you can paint it directly onto rust if need be.

Last year when I had my corsa this is what I would have done but now I have a half decent car and a child to carry in it I think I will go down the safer route and change them for peace of mind lol. How many hours work is in it roughly?
