The guy you sold it to has sold the V a few months after he got it. He has bought a Mazda rx8. I don't know where your old V has gone to and what happened with it.
-
Bought it from me ^^ It came on my V from Japan.

Sidelight switch? Not sure if I understand what you mean
-
finally had the time to check it out, 12v is also illumination. The yellow illumination wire is a dimmer.
-
Hi, I need a DEFI BF cable. If anyone has one lying around I'd be happy to take it. One like this: Cheers, Jurriën
-
Going to check that out, thanks for the info!
-
Nope, no sender unit. Signal wires are directly on the sensors.
-
Not quite sure, they are STRI gauges. All it says in the manual is 1x signal, 1x ground, 1x 12v "on" and 1x illumination. I'm guessing that it has illumination and 12v separated.

Hi, I need some help with wiring up my oil pressure and temperature gauges. It has 4 wires each. 1 signal 1 Ground 1 12v 1 illumination Now the Signal and Ground I understand. The illumination should be spliced in the wire which feeds the daytime running lights. The 12V should be spliced in the wire which is the "On" function on the ignition barrel. Does anybody know which collours these wires are? Ignition: Illumination: Hope someone can help me in the right direction.

SD075's white V - Where to go from here

Just an update! My clutch decided to fail on me so I need to install a new clutch, but before I do that I wanted to start working on the car's engine. I've been working just a couple of hours after work for about each day of this week and this is what I have achieved untill now: -Removed complete Airco system including pump. -Removed complete TMIC system. -Removed throttlebody for cleaning. -Removed complete air intake system. -Removed manifold, turbo and downpipe. -Removed front bumper for easy acces. -Removed radiator and fan. -Unbolted the powersteering pump for easy acces. -Cleaned throttle body, was really very greasy. To do: -Check turbo for failure. -Replace gaskets (block to manifold, manifold to turbo, turbo to downpipe, downpipe to exhaust, inlet to throttlebody and the coolant(?) part of the throttlebody gasket.) -Test fit FMIC. -Install new aftermarket manifold. -Fabricate and test fit new intake with Apexi filter. -Clean engine bay. -Install throttlebody (when new gaskets arrive) -Adjust rockercover for oil catch can. -Spray rockercover. -Install electronic boost controller. -Install AEM wideband lambda. -Install oil pressure and oil temperature gauges. -Install fuel pressure regulator. -Install half size aluminum radiator with slim fan. -Have the clutch (stage2) installed. I think I missed some things in the lists but still, here are a few pictures: This is just a couple of hours work and I have no garage or whatso-ever, that's why I need to remove alot of parts just to be able to reach some bolts and nuts. Cheers, Jurriën -
I cleaned and waxed my ex-ek4 once in preparation of the dutch Japanese autosport festival the day after. Spend about 6 hours in polishing and cleaning and parked the car in the backyard of my girlfriends house so it wouldn't get all sticky from the stuff which fell out of the trees. There were some adults playing soccer near the car and they planted the ball just above my rear wheel, my father in law told me I should go and have a look at it. So I inspected the car and there was a huge ugly dent, so I went over to these guys asking who had shot the ball. All they did was laugh at me, telling me that it is not a place to park a car (there are always cars parked there). In the end they still didn't tell me who shot the ball and told me to piss off with my car and all. But I think I know who it was, still waiting for an oppertunity to strike back. Luckily the damage was easy to fix, cost me about 40gbp.

I think your inbox is full mate, let me know when you've space again -
Not quite sure but I don't think a glanza would be such a good place to do things like that. Either the car's interiour will be broken or I will be broken.

SD075's white V - Where to go from here
sd075 replied to sd075's topic in EP91 Glanza Progress Blogs
I took the time to test my new camera last weekend. So I got in the glanza and headed for IJmuiden, some of you might have heard of that town since its the port from which the ferry to Newcastle leaves. There is this one way road trough the dunes which me and my mates call the IJmuiden touge, lots of great curves and hills. During the week its always abandoned so its a great spot to test new suspension mods but in the weekend its always crowded since there is a restaurant on top of the dune. Anyway, I put the glanza in a corner where no other cars were parked that moment and here is the outcome! Some minor updates aswell: Fixed the fuelcap, the spring which pops open the fuelcap was broken so I replaced it. Deleted the rear widow wiper motor and bung to block off the hole. Installed a stock ecu, car runs smoothly now. Enjoy! -
I installed a stock EP91 ECU and the car runs smoothly now. No more engine warning lights, boost is lower than before and it also doesn't stink anymore when I hit the throttle. Also the car is alot stronger in the higher rpm range. Before I installed it I opened both the stock and the Kim-Tech ECU to see the difference between the 2. I found out that there was 1 chip on the Kim-Tech which didn't match the stock one but also didn't match the other numbers on the ECU. So I'm guessing it is a chipped ECU. All solved Oh, some guy I know had send pics of the ECU to some Glanza friends of his in Japan. They didn't know what it was since they also never came across one before.

Added some footage in the first post!

Haha the Jetta, it's from a mate of mine which started a stance community. The Netherstance, all about stanced out cars from Dutch soil, there were a few other nice VAG's aswell. I don't hate it when a good VAG pops up at a JDM meet.. but that's just me ;) If I find some more pics i'll add them to the first post and let you guys know!! Cheers!
