Not much of an update on this but anyway, i had a few wiring issues with this lol, i was trying to get a hold of a a good loom to drop straight in this to save the hassle of splicing the 85 loom, but it proved quite a mission to find a good enough loom to use. These are the ones i have lol. 2 MK3 looms, 1 MK1 loom and the 85 loom. And thanks to Shortys idea ive used the front part of the 85 loom & fusebox to run the lights, washer, wipers etc. and im in the process of repairing the engine ancillary section of a MK3 loom to run everything else. These pair mate up perfectly and everythin

Id say getting 26mpg out of a modified turbo starlet is quite good. Bearing in mind its an old car now and its very easy to come on boost on a CT9. Ive heard people say that when on TD04 etc fuel eco was better for town driving because you arent creeping into boost all the time.

I might give that a try then Tom, where is the white plug exactly ? I totally removed the 85 dash loom and replaced with a MK3 loom, and ive taken out the 85 engine loom too. I kinda wanted to keep the 85 loom intact for a future project i have in mind But getting this going is priority obviously. I thought id need a GT engine loom because of the knock sensor and the dizzy.

Youd be lucky to find a properly mint untouched GT, my pal sold his silver one a few months ago, it was advertised on here. That had a few choice mods but that was all. If you want really minty then as Addy said start looking on Jap auction sites, but they are few and far between over there now sadly.

That would be great thanks Kyle. Im trying to put a GT engine loom in my 85 and was idealy after a MK2 loom, but im having real difficulty finding a good one. I have 2 MK3 looms that are only good for spares and ive just bought another loom which i now suspect is a MK1 loom because the fusebox is a different layout to the MK3 ones, and half the shit is missing from it. Im unsure if the MK2 fusebox is the same as a MK1 or MK3 or different again haha. Im hoping to make a good one out of all the bits i have, but with a few plugs being different its proving to be a mission.
