Surely youd make more money repairing it and selling it as a full car. There cant be much money in breaking a near standard V.

Thought it was you who had them but wasnt sure, i love the retro look to them.

I just realised i'll have the limiter in the 85 then because am using a GT ECU, not that it makes much difference because 4paws are supposed to top out at 130 ish anyway :/

Aye well last time we never bothered with a hotel but i felt shattered and i wasnt even driving lol. I'll be getting a hotel this time prob for the sat night so i get a sleep before heading back up the road. Sure the majority of us will have them on the road haha. I'll need to put the hearers and radio back in beforehand lol.

Just got deja vu reading that GT6 car list, the whole game is just gonna be the exact same as 5. I've never owned an xbox but ive played Forza at my pals and was amazed that you could do engine swaps etc. Last car game i did that on was the F&F Toyko Drift game, which i still think is the best car game ive ever played, was on PS2 ;)

Ohh yeah if youre putting it up on a 2 post ramp it might be a pain. I have this problem all the time when people bring in lowered cars into work. What i normally do is drive the car onto 2 pieces of wood, 1 under each front wheel, so it raises the car a bit, then i can get the legs under with the rubber bit twisted as far up as i can. And for the rear i put a jack under the rear axle or diff to raise it up enough to get the back ramp legs under the skirts, again with the rubber bits wound wound as far up as i can get them. Hope that makes sense, bit of fucking about but it works lol.

Contraversial as ever Rich haha.

Well tbf in the spec list it says a toyosports TD04 kit, these manis are well known for cracking so it was only a matter of time. Same goes for these engines, they tend to blow up after a while. Most of us have done it lol. Just reckon youve had a bit of bad luck man :/

Jack it up under the lower arm where it bolts to the chassi/floor, obv put a thick bit of rubber or wood ontop of the jack first. I try not the jack a car up on its sills wherever possible, messes them up really.

Moving back towards the scrappage scheme point, i remember that episode of Top Gear with the aerial image of the airfield and it just being covered in decent looking motors, really was a shame, i bet a shit load of really rare cars met their end through that scheme

noob question about gt turbo and glanza engines
daniel_g replied to jb4's topic in 4E-FTE Engine Discussions
Aslong as you swap the thermostat housing over from the GT engine to the Glanza engine so the plugs match your loom.
