The FTE starters are quite big, did the one you buy look like this ? Shitty pic but you'll be able to make it out.

I know the winter pack starlets had a different alternator, maybe they had different starters too. Is your battery fully charged ? It should start it if its an FTE starter.

I know the one you mean Phil but its not that one, there is a sensor which is located in an AC pipes that plugs into the other plug, that is near the battery area.

1st one runs along the front loom but duno what its for. 2nd one plugs into the AC pump iirc.

Its after 31/7/95 it needs a cat test, im training to be an MOT tester. Sports cats are only really good for N/a cars, on a turbo you want a little back pressure as possible, ie side exit.

There might be a 0.35 ish spring in it, most people use quite a low spring and then step it up with an EBC. Or it could be all carbon'd up and sticking. How old is the EWG ?

Right so on my build that im doing i am using the 85 inlet manifold which is the exact same as an FTE inlet except that there is no grey sensor (inlet temp i think ?) on it like there is on an FTE inlet. I know i have to use one because im using a GT ECU, but my questions are, can i put that sensor in the intercooler pipe just before the throttle body ? Or will this affect things when the throttle plate is closed ? Does it need to be in the front of the inlet like an FTE one ? Any help or opinions appreciated, i just cba drilling and tapping into the inlet lol.

In N/a form the gains arent great, my pal just spend 1k on a hondata and a map by TDI North for 2.9bhp lol, EK9 with bolt ons. The handling on these is great though ay, bet youre loving it round the corners
