  1. i was looking at the pump with the reservoir attached as i could keep them both together as for weight my car weighs around 750 800kgs i was going to relocated the pump to beside the battery i have a plastic grommet there so fitting it should be simple enough
  2. i was hoping that i know i'll have to swap out rack and column but the wiring and plumbing is where i am gonna get stuck i may scope his thread is there much difference better pump lasting like or was it just to keep toyota parts
  3. any info on it shaun how did ya get the wiring done and hows it work ie.. did ya have to get hydraulic pipes made or what way did ya work the piping
  4. Anyone ever done a saxo power steering pump setup onto a starlet steering rack im thinking about fitting a power-steering rack into the gt and as its running a 1e lump i cant use the typical power-steering setup from a glanza or gt so i thought this might be a handy option anyone ever tried it or anyone running it and how did ya get on with it
  5. Unfortunately I have to work tomorrow so won't be staring to drop gear box out I agree all 4 speed boxes should be scrapped the day they were made Seems though the hotrod lads love them
  6. ah right i just never came across a drive like it before in all my time of owning starlets well hopefully Saturday will see the 5speed in the car fingers crossed and good bye 4 speed gearbox
  7. them 3 spokes are serious looking paint work is mint on the car aswell
  8. Cheers Richard it was more the drives I was wondering if they would work I came across a boxy starlet and instead of a tripod setup on them on inner part and 2 cups in the box they had a inner cv joint like outside drive and to remove them the whole drive including part that goes into gear box had to be pulled out in one go
  9. gearbox i have Colin has no cups i thought my gearbox would have an inner cv joint like boxy starlets do seems its more like the ep91 style cups and tri pod shafts so my cups in theory should just pop into the gearbox
  10. picked up the box today 1.3 12v box from my old blue starlet donor car had a quick look at box seems to have cups so will know the weekend if all is a success in fitting it
  11. i wouldn't mind but i bought a set of kyb for the glanza 80 euro these cost me 120 i wouldn't mind there was a set of sachs super touring ones that came out of the car
  12. i recently bought two brand new rear shocks for the starlet i went about fitting the weitec rear springs that were in my old shocks and they shorter i didn't need to clamp them so i went and picked up a set of standard springs off spikeyJP on here and even they were to short to take up the extra room the shocks had to the top mount am i right in thinking there's a difference between the shocks in damper rod length any rear shocks ive fitted springs to usually need mild force pushing down on top mount while fitting the top nut mines have about an inch and a half of travel before the top
  13. right time for some progress picked up a 5 speed box from a mate came from a 1.3 12v efi starlet needs a good power washing as its manky also bought two brand new Monroe rear shocks next up is a new clutch kit then paint shop

  20. i had a set of jd mounts fitted to my glanza trust me there good but thing i hated was my clutch was naffed and made car judder like mad and having the mounts made it feel unbearable i never got around to sorting clutch and sold the car i wish i had kept the mounts now
  21. hello fellow starleteers im back recently i luckily got my GT rep back the other day and have been using it for travelling back and forth to work my only issue is its a 4speed box great for town driving but a nightmare long distance i know ill need gearbox drives hubs and front brake setup can i use ep91 parts or will i have to use ep80 1e parts
  22. RIGHT long over due update on this i sold car a while back biggest regret i ever have had so after buying the glanza v i had that a while got bored and wanted my gt back. But the chap that owned it then wouldn't sell so i saved up bought a mk5 golf i used that for a while and just as luck would have it the chap that had the gt wanted a golf so i swapped the golf for a 01 Passat tdi and the gt and cash so back to square one and have my car back onto bigger and better things
  23. i sold the car a while back to my mate as far as i know he hasn't done a thing to it and left it sit the last few moths shame as it was a great little car
  24. Sad day today glanza has gone to a new home still have my ep80 or that might even be gone had a lot of offers on it so it's fate lies unknown have had a great run with the glanza I'm proud to say I owned a really good one I'll still be on the site maybe not on a starlet but you never know..
