  1. Thanks mate. Didn't find any info on that. Maybe I should start collecting Infos to make a true guide to Starlets in every aspect ;) I have no job so why not ^^ Oh, is the crank in all 4Es the same? All Generations of NA or Turbos? Also what about the 5E?
  2. As in title. But I don't mean stock, rather how high are the internals safely capable to rev? Stronger Valve Springs would help, unfortunately I only found people wanting to sell aftermarket ones, never found FTE stock springs for sale. And afaik the NA ones are weaker while everything else is strengthwise the same afaik.
  3. Look in the NA tuning section what the russian did. Ep91 Spoiler cut to a 82 look
  4. 80.000 isn't old. Mine has done over 220.000km and was in my family since new ;)
  5. JLF, that's my point. The rear end on the car is way too light and the usual behaviour on here is: Strip everything, most weight is shed from the rear. Add weight to the front (big turbo, piggyback, intercooler etc). I would rather make the whole car a bit heavier for better handling. Also I have a sunroof so if I strip the car I have the center of mass higher up in the car. If I put a bit more weight in the boot I have the weight more to the middle and all in all a bit lower. The downside of course is a higher weight in total.
Short for all: don't know the reason why but my starlet likes throwing it's back around while cornering, even at lower speeds.
  7. Well, for better drivability (in my opinion) I will go the opposite way. I will add weight to the back in form of a subwoofer and changing the plastics for perfect fitted wood pieces. Should put some weight on the ass to stop it oversteering in fastercorners. Had a few 180s where I didn't want them. Very scary.
  8. Well, there are actually eyebrows for the NA. I spoke to a company in Germany doing them. If I recall correctly they want (roughly) 35 for them. Well if more people want them maybe I can do the contact for a group buy. Only maybe as I would need to gather enough info first.
  9. Joshy, that's how my russian friend spelled it to me. But the "u" is actually spoken like the "oo" in "too"
  10. Sry mates for writing german to him.
  11. I don't know which pictures are missing but I can explain what he did. He made a rough cardboard template smaller then the actual floor. Then he put that in the car and with stripes of cardboard which he glued on the base he modelled the inside of the car. This full template was then put on a wooden plate to draw the actual needed size on that. Cut it out, flatten every protruding edge and glue some carpet or similar on it. Done. At least as far as I remember.
  12. Bud or buddy means "drug" as a russian friend told me.
  13. Also in the rain it sounds like the water is gushing straight into the car when driving. I also didn't like the empty look in the back. And I like the possibility of carrying passengers.
  14. Not as much. The gasses out of a side exhaust are way hotter than they are on the back of the car. And this hot air shooting out the side may burn other peoples cars paint. But well I always go for the worst case. It's just my common sense for others and my sense for aesthetics tell me a rear exhaust is better. Otherwise all manufacturers had side exhausts on their cars.
  15. What you said are demon eyes. Devil eyes are the kind of lights like modern audis have, with that chain of LEDs in the lower part of the lights going up a bit to the sides. Looks like devils horns they say.
  16. Well, I know it adds power but the cost is more pollution. With a 200cell cat you'd have same power without pollution. Just my opinion. But I really hate cars that are too loud even in low rpm and point their exhausts to the sides. Could damage other cars bodywork in worst case. But well, I'm German, my father was a policeman and my mother a high official so I may be a bit strict in that. I don't like adding pollution without need and because I grew up near a main street I really really hate loud cars, especially in the night. Also around hereall loud cars are VWs and I hate VW.
  17. If I could decide it I would pull every car without a cat and/or with a side exit from the streets. It looks horrible, sounds terrible and doesn't evev bring more power.
  18. Awesome buold. Whar is the paint code of the light blue one?
  19. It was really nice a few years ago. Especially that rollercoaster that goes vertival to the ground. Epic. I think Sheikra was it's name. Well, I couldn't visit the everglades, was there during a hurricane. Which funnily had the same name as my mother which was at home so I write her why she couldn't let me alone in my holidays ^^
  20. That's it essentially. My English on this specific topic wasn't good enough to explain it myself, sorry. by the way I'd choose Replay Audio. It's a small company run by a german car-hifi enthusiast who thought there was nothing on the market affordable with perfect quality so he just built it.
  21. Well, normally the doorboards for the speakers are built and not bought. For best results it's not only fitting speakers, it's also sound deadening the door and forming a perfect space for the speakers. Like building a perfect case for a sub it's also the same with building the perfect case for speakers Well and on brands, I have one I want but I don't know if you can get it in the UK. Also with 180Euro they are not cheap.
  22. That's my plan. I miss my car. That's also the reason why I didn't fix the engine until now. Because technically the car belongs to my father who would have sold it if it wasn't broken. Well, I only got the mirrors because mine are broken slightly. And as long as the car is standing still I'll try to sneak out some money here and there to give the interior some love. As soon as I know how I want to disassemble the dash and spray it matte black and some bits white. I really don't like the grey my Sora has mainly on it's interior. It looks dull, boring and old whereas from the outside no one be
  23. Component is always better. The reason is the acustical capacity of the human ear. The higher the frequencies the better the ear can estimate where the sound is coming from. Best would be to get 16cm middle frequency speakers in the doors and small high frequency ones in the mirror triangles aimed directly at your ears.
  24. Well, I just read the thread briefly. But it was with the ACIS and many FHE parts and a finer tune, different intake system and exhaust system and so on. I could search it as soon as I have normal Internet again.
