  1. I said you were wrong because there are more. The Paseo guys in Germany managed up to 150hp on their 5E. N/A still. And for the map I've got a good example. One of the Paseo guys broke his emanage and with the stock ecu the engine ran likd shit because of the many mods. If I modded my N/A I'd definately go for at least an Emanage. Also useful for later engine upgrade and/or turboing it. Roadmapping should be enough for most of the time I think.
  2. Wrong. I know of at least two in Germany. Both are also on here. Sharki made it with the Corolla E10 mani (Gen1), FHE cams, Emanage, and afaik some kind of exhaust. Motion used the E11 intake mani, skimmed head, OBX exhaust, Emanage, Green Twister intake, 50mm Throttle Body Two different attenpts but similar results. Motion opted for a smooth and linear torque curve while sharki just wanted maximum power. If motion had wanted the same as sharki he would be near 115hp or even more I think, but I can't be sure.
  3. On the first pic the car looks like it's saying "kill me please". It even can't hold it's eyes anymore But other than that nice little car.
  4. My father has his on 20,5ºC all the time ^^ I'm always gathering info on what is doable to modernize the Starlet. Only one thing I don't want to modernize are the windows, I have manual ones and want it to stay that way. I love living near a harbour or coast and if everything fails and I manage to drive my car in the water I want to be able to open the windows to escape fast. Well, sorry for off topic. But I think I'll start a new one on that, maybe others are interested in that too, although for a beginning it's rather theoretical at least on my side because of lack of money.
  5. This thread made me search for some kind of electric climate control so that even on cars without climate control like mine can be upgraded to have a climate control like for example in the VW Touran of my father. There you set one target temperature and the car heats or cools the inside always to that temp. Would be awesome in our cars to modernize them. Because I think more modern cars all look boring and dull and I don't like that they are built with too much electrics.
  6. The Turbo uses a harmonic damper whereas the NA doesn't
  7. Mate, it's danish. As I can speak a very local variant of German called "Plattdeutsch" I can read and understand most of that. But it's not German at all.
  8. Damn you're right. I somehow had the FTE values confused with the Gen1 ones. Sorry. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_E_engine Wiki says the bore is different from Gen2 on? Slightly bigger it says.
  9. Thx Noel. That updates my knowledge quite a lot. I had the basics already but you have a bit more info. But you should include the slightly different compression and the Starlets have the rev limit at 6300rpm.
  10. @daniel: yes. That is why motion had Glanza S fuel rail and ECU on his car for some time. @noel: and what info is wrong? This is the Information I got from two years of research and from German Starlet enthusiasts. Also Wikipedia backs me up on that. Yes a 50mm throttle would be useful, but with the Gen1 parts and a EMU or similar to map it it would be easy to see 100hp.
  11. Well ECUs are obviously different. Injectors too but I don't know which exactly are to wich Gen. So I state what I know. The Corolla EE101 (4EFE Gen1): 88ps in europe, due to better fuel up to 100ps in Japan Inlet: bigger, same as FTE (in fact FTE is based on Gen1) 4-2-1 exhaust mani (in two parts, for adapting on a starlet welding and a flexpipe are required) Starlet and Corolla EE100 (4EFE Gen2): 75ps 4-1 exhaust Higher compression Smaller inlet mani Thinner and lighter conrods at same strength as Gen1 Corolla EE111 and Glanza S (4EFE Gen3): 86ps (also up to 100 in Japan afaik) Tubular in
  12. The MS front is very nice. More rounded than the TTE one. Look in motions thread. He had the full kit.
  13. No, just opened it. It's electric and only can be open or closed but not like lift off a bit like most sunroofs can.
  14. @Jamie: I hadn't have it out until now. @Billy: Well, not that much. As stated lost my license so can't drive it. I found some nice 15" alloys from a Rover for it and also fitted the handbrake and gearknob surround of a Paseo to have at least one cupholder. Half the engine is laying on my rear bench and I installed a double DIN surround instead of the stock single DIN one. Well and on the way are a GT front strut brace and some replacement mirrors as my M3 style ones got broken. The replacement ones are same style but with repeaters in them. This is nice for the future if I want some afterma
  15. Well, to be honest, I love little gadgets. Like for example I want my fuel tank to open with a stroke of a finger via a capacitive sensor. But that may take some time till I get there Had that idea out of an australian car forum. Also I have some basic ideas how to build a double-DIN radio, well basically a car PC with a big touchscreen and a little 2x20 charakter display and some physocal knobs. I like that sort of stuf. Oh and for cleanliness I thought of running a flexible antenna inside my spoiler and weld the original hole shut. You see, many lottle detaols in my head that are near
  16. Well it really looked like new, that's why I asked. After seeing that small cooler I thought of ways to blend it to not cool to much and have a way to move that blending without stopping the car. Maybe like air vents, stripes of alu that can be fully closed and partially opened via electromotors. But I don't have the full electrics in my head yet. I'd be doing it like a volume button in the inside of the car but really I don't know yet how to wire it up so it really only opens partial. That is just my idea for maximum usability. And space wise in the engine bay it would be bigger only in wid
  17. Is the oil cooler brand new? For that kind of money I don't expect it's new but would be awesome.
  18. Mate, you know from quite and some other guys that the ACIS alone gains 15ps on the 5E. HC221 had one I think. Well, it's just my opinion that the ACI is best of both worlds, better top end AND better lower end. For Top alone the E10 mani would be better, look at sharki. Well, you have me on Facebook mate, I might not have the money nor skill to fiddle with my engine, but as you know I had enough time to read about everything.
  19. Well, at least you get to drive it. I lost my license last june and a month before that the engine shat itself. Since my Birthday, the 24. May, it sits at my fathers place. At least it had a heart, I tod it that day that it shouldn't set the road under heavy fog for 15km and it didn't. It did some days earlier. So mate, appreciate it. I lost my license and thus my job so I have no money to fix it or get my license back (which maybe would cost twice doing the license in the first place was) and I don't see it that often because it's 15km away and I really don't like cycling that far.
  20. So it just puts more fuel in it. Well.... I don't like that. Sounds like "Tuning resistors". Actually I'm surprised that Emanages work. Based on the Statements everywhere I read they get worse the farther you go away from the original Spec of an engine.
  21. Laying on the shelf... seriously, you guys are rich with parts. Except 5Es somehow. I actually called a guy named "Backi" (motion knows him) in may and he could sell me a 5E for like 220 pound. And that was a 80k mile one by the way, lower is nearly unfindable.
  22. Martin, the english guys can somehow find something like te ACIS way cheaper. Seems like magic but let him try to find a "cheap" one. I'd get one if I had the money. Would even be nice on a Forced Induction car for faster getting to higher revs. At least that's my opinion.
