good to know and even if it aint that good with 235hp it cant be worse than stock now can it and will do the gear box is arriving tomorrow so when i get it out as the engine isnt in the car and the drive shafts are just dangling ill stick em in and make sure everything is just dandy

ahhhhhhhhh i miss read that my bad i saw stock set up not stock item .... in that case bring on the gear box its time to get fixing.... i could do with a free lsd.... that would take a lot of expense of my shoulders as i was looking at a quaife... doubt its as good but again its FREE for a few hrs of work

hey adam i got a question on this as well a guy down here brought a gear box for me me to fix he needs his second gear replaced... he bought a spare gear box and it has a original lsd in it ... its for a 4age engine would the lsd from it work in my car??? he said hed pay in parts aka i could have the lsd if i want it... but ill only do it obviously if it will work in the gt gear box

was talking to one of the rally drivers down here who drives a starlet .... he said he had a 5e in his for a while and he had to change the bearings twice as they kept knocking after good thumping so question does any one know if the 5e when boosted has bearing problems or oil pressure problems that would lead to bearing failure??? this 5e is starting to rattle my brains and good piss me off

just the bearing holding me back the dealer said ti would take about a week and a half from the day i order them...he doesnt have the 5e bearings only the 4e so i gots to bring them in.... i messaged tuning developments back also to get prices from them to see if its near the same price and how long it would take... even if its more pricey and i can get them sooner ill go that way... i guess he saw the thread and messaged me saying he had them.... hes pretty on top of things that guy

we are changing the oil pump just in case... its never been done... the only bearing that was a complete mess was number 4 and we think it was starvation as the clearance was the same on all 4... will keep you up to date when I get it back up and running just so i know what should the clearance be... ill double check that we dont have them too tight

what do you mean by oil clearances? is that where u use the paper ruler and the funky little strip of plastic like thing under the bearings?? if so im not sure what the clearance was the mechanic took care of that i dont touch things that could potentially destroy the car...

so i have a forged 5e tdo4 monster and on changing the oil we realised that there was a funny silver colout to the oil and realized it was because the bearing were going on the mains.... i was using some random taiwanese brand bearings as that was all i was able to find at first. I managed to track down the acl dealer in trinidad and he said he can get me all the bearings for the engine 10 thou in the non racing series. the crank is polished and i will do it again just in case... do you guys think that these bearing will be able to put up with the thumping i put the car though as they

and the bs continues drove the shit out of it last night as some one stoll my phone off the dash at the gas station when i went inside to pay .... was so mad that i drove home doing about 210kms down the high way.... reached home and knock knock knock knock knock.... bearings are starting to go and the 4th one is royally scourged gon have to take the crank out an polish it again anf get knew bearing 10 thou bigger .... im so upset right now id volley a baby in the face -

its officially finished fully forged and bored out 1.5 5efthe starlet witha tomei dual ball bearing td04 and custom made exhaust manifold externally waste gated with a 38 mm tial... powered and manged by a full stand alone emerald ecu with launch control..... took it for a drive last night and all i can say is WTF HOLLY SHIT.... 277HP TO THE WHEELS after we fit the lsd running 18lbs of boost.... i got all my whiteline EVERYbars on as well so its sitting as flat as it will ever sit round the bends I am still in complete shock right now as to how its moving and more so how that wastegate sounds -

i just did mine my self looks great and braced it all the places you said you were going to as well... this is not the first time ive done it this way either as long as its done properly it will last ... the last one i did is on the road 4 years now -

Never a good day with this car so we were setting up the turbo to put on the car spun it and was putting the front back on... it was a little hard to do so and in his laziness the mechanic decided to use the press to get the turbo back onto the casing and broke a brand new turbo .... I'm livid ... I mean he gave it to me free but still now I've got to source a dam turbo .... -

so ive gone ahead and got me a vf39 sti turbo (FFF-RRRREEEEEE).... so took the turbo money and bought a tial 38 mm waste gate with v clamps instead of the bolt on kit... it was all they had at the time.... how hard is using the v clams??? ive never used this type before ive always got the plated ones will get pics up later as its all going on the car tonight ..... im bouncing off the walls im so excited ......time for BOOOOST -
