    on the logbook (v5) there's a part that says changes on vehicle, then it says colour and you just put the new colour down, date it, sign it and chuck it in a envelope to the dvla , only cost you 50p for a stamp

    Impact gun will do the job, I bought one from argos that plugs into the car, used it then took it back the next day without any questions asked and had my money back
