Basically after having a few dud ct9 turbos and knowing how old they are /thin on the ground and old and tired is making me think that there must be a similar turbo out there thats readily avaliable new or only used for a brief while, im thinking 2005 to maybe 2007. been researching into garrett turbos and theres so many to choose from.weld up new flange on current turbo and get a decat made up and boom your sorted. obviously making sure the newer turbo is same sorta specs with inducer and exducer etc etc. nobody done this ? Just that I am loving having a ct9 at a bar and the lack of lags

A fuel pump should not change afrs on idle or cruise. The ecu corrects these things and and it always aims for 14.8 Wether the fuel pressure is at 2bar or 4bar.ecu sorts this wot situations with stock setups is then governed by a rrfpr.

The person who got told somebody recalibate's theres weekly will probably find thats on a dyno machine which I totally understand and would do myself.
-
And that.even more so they don't need calibrating.
-
Widebands need calibrating every 10k miles. Or yearly. not weekly or anything close to that lol.
-
Tbh I went on a wild goose chase recently with u usually low and high wideband readings. was showing 7 afr at WOT and idle was 18-19 afr tried alsorts of stuff and after weeks of changing parts I looked past the thought of the wideband being at fault. got a new unit and all was fine. widebands do fail sometimes !!!!!!

It wont last.its failed, end of. that starlet needs tearing down and rebuilding before any more damage occurs. without doubt u have melted piston or ringlands have broken up. -
Perfect.still safe and I would leave it bang on that.
-
Looks good in pic

Super safe afr at wide open throttle is 10.5 Normal is to aim for 11.5 . I personally am at 10.8 and its peace of mind knowing its fine.
-
Mount anywere between the 9 oclock position to the 3 oclock position only. any deviation of this will cause the life of the wideband to be reduced dramaticly
-
36" is bang on. Aem or Innovate for an afr gauge.both superb and imperative bit of kit in any turbo car
