I do get what you mean iddy, do see that could create problems. I woukd in that case have to see the test performed infront of me. I even tested my n/a before I bought it, the thing you have to bear in mind is starlet ringlands are so prone to breaking and and are made of soft cheese so the likely hood of buying a engine with an issue is definatley a real one.

I wouldnt purchase a starlet unless I could undertake a compression check, IT IS IMPERATIVE. I did on my donor car I brought, the guy was fine with it as I know my stuff.

I just find it weird that all the cylinders arent just a set diameter. so when forging the engine and having the bores bored out the enginner will be told a set bore and have to work according to the block hes working on , ie less boring out of certain cylinders and more on some to match them all for a identical diameter forged piston etc

Heya guys, does anybody know why starlet piston tops have a different number on them ? An n/a engine I had opened up last year had number 2,2,1,4 and I am sure its the same on the turbo engines also why is this and what does it represent ? Surely they make all the bores the same from factory, they cant be different diameters ??!! Any help would be cool

I have always had manual boost controllers with no issue at all bought a brand new gizzmo for 200 quid and it kept overboosting, has put me off ever having another ebc. im sticking with manual boost controllers now, I tryed all the different settings on that ebc and it was fucking wack.waste of money. worst bit was I cant sell it as its useless.
