  9. I think the real trouble we were having was for one the way we were jacking it up it was on the cock a bit. Secondly because we split the CV joints they were catching on the flywheel cover, i hade to bend the cover a touch to clear it!
  10. Well, that was a cunt of a job i hope never to have to do again! For some reason the inner shafts didnt want to come out of the gearbox? Tried for ages but eventually just split the CV joints. And the box indeed a nitemare to re-align! I've still got a couple more things to refit but the bulk of it is finally done after around 6 hours T_T

  12. I will be jacking it unfortunatly but i did my civic the same way and I've done that twice now. I will be doing it with my friend who is also a mechanic and he has all his tools to hand! Aslong as i know there isnt anything starlet specific waiting to catch me out ill be all good!
  13. I've found this guide for changing it: http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/forums/showthread.php?31620-Clutch-Tutorial-How-to-Remove-Gear-Box-and-Clutch Does that look right to you guys? The one question i have is, Can i just remove the shafts from the gearbox or do i have to split the CV joints? Looks pointlessly messy to me!
  14. I think im right in saying the engine in these is a non-turbo version of the Evo GSR engine? Good looking car! I really wanted one at one point!
