  1. I didnt mean that man, I meant I did 120mph and when your jumpin on the brakes repeatly over an hour or so of hard driving I would be glad of the bigger calipers. I did alot of hard driI didnt mean that man, I meant I did 120mph and when your jumpin on the brakes repeatly over an hour or so of hard driving I would be glad of the bigger calipers.
  2. Wish Id kept the paseo dash and handbrake surround, they would have looked great inthe starlet. Any N.I. locals breakin a paseo
  3. An na cant do 120mph+ on the track. Using the right tool for the job since 2005.. The same pads on two different sizes of discs cant be right. We need a comparision photo but the uk na calipers are smaller although they fit

    removing ABS

My abs kept trying to kill me so I removed the abs relay in the fusebox. No more abs. At mot I put it back in again. 9000 miles of fastroad driving with no problems
  5. You should be able to get new tyres for.under £30 each. Four matching, good quality tyres will improve the feedback from your coilovers. Its hard to setup your suspension if.1 tyre has much less grip than the others.
  6. Pads are different too. The smaller pads dont reach the edges or the inner of the larger discs.
  7. Im sorry but the uk starlet calipers are smaller than the glanza or gt. The glanza and gt share calipers with the uk paseo, all of which have a larger piston than the uk starlets. Part number 47750‑10111
  8. Very good price for a light wee wheel. Centrecaps are handy got to
  9. Its the extra load on your altenator. Test your battery then look on tggt.com for how to set your idle
  10. A video would be a good job if u can upload one. Pull off the thick black pipe on the front of your inlet manifold and see what happens. I suggest u clean your throttlebody. Dont take it off the car, just hold it open and use a cloth and your finger to clean just behind the flap. Is it a turbo or not. Sounds like idle valve but do these to checks first.
  11. Glenn a 5efe is a straight swap but they are hard to find now. 5efe starlet will do 130mph and 0-60 in about 8seconds I would get the bolt on stuff for the 4efe and drive her hard then when.she dies all the bits bolt straight onto a 5efe You could buy a paseo for around £400, swap engines and sell on the paseo
  12. They are different colours. Be very careful when fitting them, its so so easy to push them on too much and rip them. If fitting 16 buy 20
  13. Bump for good info. I wonder if toyota would or could tell me the flow and ohms of the different 4efe injectors. Uk starlet green Uk paseo green Uk corolla brown Uk corolla yellow Jdm ep85 pink Glanza S grey Will add part numbers as I go
  14. Youll probably have to use your own pipe or part of it at least. And the hanger will have to be modded a bit. I looked a standard yaris backbox and its similar.to ours but not idential. Excellent buy for £20. Another £20 or so should see it fitted.
  15. Glanza/paseo wheels would look tidy. Standard lookin but def tidy.
  16. What is jdm style when its in japan. Id like to tidy up my uk 4efe but without goin glanza rep. So the question is, what do the poverty spec jap guys do? Lowered to the balls, wide stance, mad 14" rims, huge rear spoiler and stickers?? I cant find anyhting on google
  17. Thanks lad thats great. Looks like it will be handy to fit a 50mm throttlebody if I use a little spacer
  18. We talk about timing in degrees of engine rotation. Your sparkplugs spark at whatever degrees before the piston reachs the top. Like yer man says we can then advance this alittle more or retard it alittle less. When I talk about base timing its when setting timing by adjusting the distributor. After this the engine adjusts it back and fourth by its self. My base timing is 12degrees but the ecu runs it at say 25-30degrees when Im revving it. Thats why the escort guy was at 33degrees at 5000rpm but his base timing would be set at say 10-15degrees. Buy a haynes manual for a 1993-1997 corolla,
  19. Ive mine advanced 12 degrees BTDC on the base timing instead of 10degrees dan with no noticeable difference. I'll go to 4 degrees on friday and let you know how I get on. I have a timing light and a fair bit of experience with the 4efe. I'll say this though, if there were gains to be had we would all have done it years ago.. Disconnect your battery over night to reset the ecu so it 'learns' again.
  20. Could you separate them? Interested in the spoiler. I poured a kettle of hot water over the ends to soften the double sided taped and pulled them apart.
  21. The anti lift plates reduce lift under acceleration but INCREASE dip under braking by the same amount. Castor bushes and antilift plates can be fitted separately. I used castor bushes but removed the antilift plates. You can get 1degree using the standard bolts
  22. 58mm but youd be best measuring your own. Post a link when u get the part, it sounds a cool option for those of us running standard airboxes.
  23. But the standard hollow strut brace on the glanza and gtt are both ample. Anything that doesnt bend.when you stand on it is more.than up to the job
