Have i got the wrong CV boots fitted?
rmsnoel replied to jason_l's topic in Drivetrain & Transmission
Those are inners man. Notice the shamrock shape to match the cups. Its looks to be too far onto the cup -
Check my thread for the supra boot puller mod

Stick the manifold on man. Keep your standard throttlebody for torque. I like the sound of SR+ I wonder what the + wpuld be like on the SR decals

Lads not all 5efhe are highlift Corolla manifold with a 50mm throttlebody is the best of both worlds :-) After 1993 is for uk cars. Not import cars without a uk equivilent. No glanza or gt turbo needs a cat. Boths facts...

part numbers corolla injectors and fuel rail
rmsnoel replied to mini1.3's topic in N/A E-Series Engine Discussions
Dont be so keen to throw money at her lol. If the rings are gone well theres nothing to be gentle abput. Drive the livin death out of it. 1.5 are way over valued because of the popularity. low milage scrappage scheme granny spec statlets are my favourite Place to get engines. All 30_45k miles. -
U dont need a cat because its a jap import so just gut it out, 5efhe cams are rare as the high lift ones were only made in the early 90's and the later ones arw just the same as ours. Keep the interior its noisy and boring with just two seats. emanage blue is only £200 these days and is a super duper piggyback ecu.

Carpet is all one piece lad. Glanzas and SR are a nice darker colour than the sick pale grey of base spec cars.

Unscrew the two gold screws on the iac and the four on the bottom. Clean coked up gunk off with a matchstick or twig, a screwdriver would just scratch it. Wd40 helps. The screws are crap, very very soft. Fk it Ill do a diy as this keeps coming up as a problem

Tidy lad youve shamed me into cleaning my interior.

Are you looking more mpg? If so just fit a corolla tubular inlet manifold and keep everything else standard. Then drive between2300_2900rpm all the time. 45mpg easy -

part numbers corolla injectors and fuel rail
rmsnoel replied to mini1.3's topic in N/A E-Series Engine Discussions
Fuel rail is the same, fuel pressures are the same that includes turbo models. Injector changes still havnt been proven, all still butt dyno tests. No-one including myself can confirm 100% what the flow rates and specs are. I had jap 4x4 pink injectors in my uk car and whilst it 'felt quicker' my nose and ears told me it was runnin rich and near flooding at idle. All partnumbers of all toyotas can be found at www.toyodiy.com Simply select the country model year etc You want the early pre 1995 uk 4efe corolla -
Lad a 4 branch exhaust manifold sounds cool and helps performance. Obx youll find them on ebay for a 5efe. Your S is already as good as we would hope our uk engines to be. 50mm throttlebody but you need to make a 45_50mm spacer. 50mm are handy found but id need a photo of yours to tell u what type to get. Avoid glanza inlet manifold, your tubular manifold gives a good strong flat torque curve. Keep it well serviced and drive the tits off it and shell be plenty fast.

Short answer chris, no. I could bridge the pins and set my idle at 750_770rpm because I kbow ive no vaccum leaks and my throttle is set spot on but u are fitting a new engine. A timing light is 20quid or ask around, someones dad always has one. My timing light is 36years old and Im 29. You will use it again if you have it, 20quid is cheaper than than a cracked piston. Search how to set base timing. It 10° btdc on a warm engine with check pins crossed using a paperclip. Then when all timing is right you can set your throttle idle screw. Always check tps switch because its a on off type instead

@ amjad I cant remember where Id seen it but I definately seen it. The guy had 4 stud rear brakes and fronts on his gt taken from a 1.6 corolla same shape as the t-sports.

If you never go over 60mph you could go silly camber as long as you get your alignment reset properly and are prepared for tyre wear. Lowered 30mm your camber will be around 1degrees anyway. A cheat is playing around with your mudflap angle or paseo mudflaps on the front.

Ecu is the one year thats plug and play and increases power. Does it up the rev limit?

Project fish wagon aka project slammon aka project gammon #flap
rmsnoel replied to Billy SR's topic in EP91 Progress Blogs
Coilovers are handy fitted lad just take your time and remember to tighten the camber bolts to near breaking point. Also demand 0 degrees toe and the lack of power steering wont be an issue. Go to whiteline.au and check out their starlet project, they suggest very good alignment specs. My sister wanted a salmon with a big daisy sticker on the rear quarter panel last summer -
Hitting 39mpg on B road driving, happy days hope to gain abit more if I can carry speed through corners. Not bad for an auto

Thanks lads, I run tte springs for years and they were great, got them from bilal the king of shine years back. Dont want to lower this yet just wanted to see it lower, food for thought. Tein do different rates one of which doesnt even lower the car so buyers beware check partnumbers. It came with new shocks so Ill maybe get fresh springs from a low mile wagon someday cause I cross four speedbumps and a miniroundabout on the way to work each day and I hate slowing down. Rarb and castor kit to be fitted soon.
