  1. you should be able to here your flaps open and close if you listen carefully whilst turning the hot cold knob
  2. Think the corolla is smaller man. Theres little differences in most ashtrays I think
  3. Amjad, go and checkout the different ratios man as youll see a 4efte is geared til near 170mph to keep 5th cruising speed. Imanage it geared to 155mph at 7500rpm now that would be a quick gtt Sometimes I put the ratios into forza4 just to see the acccelartipn differences. Im a tech nerd I know..
  4. Dont know the weight man but dont mark it,as a gearbox because most couriers cant r wont ship them because of the risk of spilling oil.
  5. Download the free gear ratio calculator and have a play with the different toyota gear ratios and different wheel/tyres sizes to get your desired results. A 5efe gearbox in a mr2 is very popular because of the paseo's closer ratios
  6. No. 5efe gearbox is better. This is all down to the final drive ratio. It means the 5efe box is faster 1st 2nd 3rd and slightly longer 4th 5th meaning better cruising speed buts 0-100 becuse you dont have to use 5th. Wiki search c154 c151 c-series transmissions then googl search gearbox, man calculator and enter the details into the graph and youll see for youself. 5efe gearbox on a 4efe is good and 4efe gearbox on a 5efe is great. 5efe engine in a statlet will be 130mph no problem
  7. Sorry lad just 1month and 3 threads covering the same/similar topic when a 30 second google search will tell u no aswell. Now someone else may half read this thread and go out trying the same. I hate and crush misinformation where ever I find it. Our mods do a good job buy could do with a few more tech guys on here
  8. That spindle, which holds the bearings and discs... Ah knock yourself out lol
  9. Fuck sake. You cant adjust rear camber. So syop trying before you have an accident...
  10. 30mm lowered is about your limit without arch contact. NEVER pay £150 for fitting anything to your starlet. Coilovers are 60quid at most to fit but there a easy diy
  11. You dont Have to fit the panhard rod though ypu may want to in future, lowering with coilovers or springs have the same affect on the drivers rear arch. Bare in mine that I was hittin humpback bridges at 80+ in mine to make it rub. No fat chicks is a must though.
  12. My 5efe with rolla manifold years ago. My mates made 115bhp with ease
  13. I took the seatbelt off the glanza seat, straightened the bracket alittle and fitted them where the rear inner subframe bolts to the floor of the car. It past mot each year no problem
  14. Is this a straight through type backbox with a nice tip I wonder.
  15. .5mm 5efe headgasket from toyota. Half the price of trd. I wonder can the traders source these cheap from toyota although it get expensive becuase of the work involved. Rolla manifold, 50mm 4afe throttlebody and emanage blue.
  16. Does anybody actually know the cc of the brown injectors and our own green injectors andthe ohms? Partnumbers are written on the side of the injectors.
  17. For the cost and work involved in swappin to 4efte you would be better buyin a glanza for 1200-1400 quid off gumtree. If you wanted tto diy the engine swap I reccomend every starlet owner to buy the 1993_1997 corola haynes manual. 20quid in halfords
  18. Any 4efe or 5efe will be a direct swap. Only a coolant temp sensor needs swapped on the 5efe. You dont need to change the ecu although you can if u want. Im unsure on the corolla ecu but as you dont need it dont worry about it. 4efe can be got for as little as 80 quid and are a easy diy fit if your on a budgey. Engine cranes can be hired for 10quis per day at most hire shops and wil fit in the back of a starlet ;-)
  19. like adam said its abouy personal preference and needs. Are you trying to balance.your car.or.just.on the qurst to go faster? What have you so far man, Id put the front arb down the list behind rear parts, good tyres, wider wheels stiffer shocks, My cornering speeds wemt from 40mph to 85mph with the whiteline rear parts and fresh front bushes on a oem arb same as.amjad Four tyres.the.same is important
  20. @Amjad your noy drivin hard enough man lol. Alot depends on how much you tighten the arb to the wishbones. Tighten them up to give understear in the dry and loosen to encourage oversteer in the wet. Id rather have predictable understeer than oversteer. Im a very fastroad driver and not a trackday hero
  21. I always thought a uk spec, lowered to the balls and with a huge zep or whatever jap spolier would be cool.
