Ive a car with no speakers or radio so Ive had a poke about and found 60w jvc front speakers and some type of sony explod cd player. Can I or should I use a amp on these. I wont be going for rear speakers unless I can fit some small ines either side of the parcel shelf in the plastics. I think the question is what is a good wee basic package and would anyone suggest a spec for the amp.

Lol I forgot my crankpulley split. The stick to the ear trick will tell u where abouts the noise is coming from like the head the block left right top bottom etc

Piston slap or bearings or a few other no panic things. We hear all the engine noises in our cars but remember we have no sound deadening worth talking about compared to other cars. Basically it could be anything at the minute best thng is to take a 3foot long stick, wood or metal and hold it next your ear then put it on different parts of the engine to hear where the noise is. Corolla manifold allows abit more cam noise out of the head.

The mans a wanker but if u be a wanker back then youll get on great. Its his way of clearing timewasters. I used to get 5efe's for £100 but due to timewasters ringing all the time asking about.them n not.calling in the prices rocketed. My advice, just land up. Think of the gearbox as a 3speed manual with a automatic clutch and it should make sense. Mine does 0-60 in 10seconds and hits 120mph no problem with the corolla manifold. I get 40mpg with normal daily driving. Best of luck with the car

I have same car, drive in 2nd. When u start in D your starting in 3rd gear so imagine the car is slipping the clutch to get u moving. I drive everywhere in 2nd. A corolla inlet manifold helped loads with the drivablity as standard the cars way too dead to have a auto box. If u havnt done it already u must change the gearbox oil which helps loads too.

Sticky throttle or throttle cable on top of foot pedal caught.

Yes the panhard rod is the key. Take a look under your car at the front of your axle and you will see it

Dont drill holes in it, thats for old novas or minis not modern cars. You can however cut away the wee lip just above where the air comes into the box. Its the only flat part youll see inside the box

With the SR giving way to the glanza replica I decided to invent a SR+ and we are trying to establish a spec for it that retains the SR look but allows us to steal the glanza bits we like. Rally handles are the plastic handles on the roof, usually only one over the passenger door but if u feel under the headliner there are nuts welded in place for four because its the same chassis for lhd rhd

Unplug abs relay and problem solved. Abs will try to kill u in the wet. I eould check the wires from the sensors and xlean the sensor rings on the driveshafts with brake cleaner/toothbrush
