Ive one here chris we used on the gsxr itb's but its much easier with a roll a manifold.
-
Thanks anyway colin but it needs to be complete with everything

Im in N. ireland lads so Im hoping for beer tokens plus postage here. There the same as the 4efe apart from one little thing that Id like to check out myself. Id two heads here but they got skipped without my knowledge
-
Im not goin turbo. I want a 5efe head from one of the many 5efe's in the country. The block, rods and crank are commonly called the bottom end kid. Im lookin the shiny bit that goes on top of that. Sorryif u dont understand my reasons but in my first post I said I wanted a 5efe head and I was aware there the same as 4efe but I wanted a 5efe. Im comparing the heads for a wee project
-
Dont worry lad Im in no hurry. Im lookin a genuine uk 5efe head from one of the many peopke who have went 5efte.
-
So do any of u lads have a uk 5efe head then...
-
Use the search button its be covered loads of times
-
The ecu plugs are the same but the wiring is alot different. The distributor is different inside and many sensors are different.
-
Im lookin a 5efe uk head complete. Must be a5efe and not a 4efe. I know there the same but its a 5efe I want complete with cams and thermostat housing etc
-
No but u can buy a paseo for 300_400pounds
-
Starlet parts and 5efe engines are gerting.so over priced that soon the cheaper option will be to fit a 4age like morgey did or a poor mans 4afe/7afe
-
1.3 & 1.5 are different engines but with the same heads. If u want a 1.5 you neec to buy a 1.5 engine. The 5efhe is the high compression high revvin fancy cammed japanese cousin of the 5efe that we get in the uk. A uk 1.5 will sit with a 1.5 vtec happily. Your best thing to do is buy a paseo from gumtree and take its engine. We dont have jets no and you can never take pistons out bottom unless u want break them.
-
This has been covered alot recently but its 0° toe or alittle toe out if you cant get it spot on 1.5° -1.75° camber I would go 1.75 if most of the driving is below 80mph If u have an adjustable panhard rod set the axle 5-10 mm in favour of the passenger side so when you compress the rear it does rub the drivers arch (only if u have rubbing issues) I havnt bothered with caster kit this time. You can tighten or loosen the front arb bushes to increase or decrease over and understeer but Id do that on trackday

Trying to find a decent brand/price on ebay for the felt stuff and Ive got some scavaged VW bulkhead foam-rubber stuff to patch the gaps in our bulkhead like around the steering column and grommet areas. In the meantime Ive made sound deflector cups from milk cartons to point up at me and co-pilot...

60 quid would cover it lad. Dont forget to get the wheel alignment redone or youll murder your tyres in a few miles -
Fitted the gt seats today. Love them though theyll be hard to keep clean Rear centre bracket needs modified to be crash safe but other than that they just sat in. Driverside hole in this gt seathinge needs drilled out to 10_12mm to allow to fit in the ep91

Scatter my car isnt stripped, thats my old car in the photo. As a standard car they are still quite noisey over 30mph. Im just thinking I need ti add foam or something as that butyl resin is already in our cars in most places.
-
Did u mix up the coolant pipes if you were poking aroubd with your manifold
-
how important is back pressure?
rmsnoel replied to pinske's topic in N/A E-Series Engine Discussions
Keep the standard manifold, downpipe and cat then go 2inch from there back. Unless your fitting a 4branch but u still need a box where the cat is. Its important where the first box in the system is, its a tuned length because thats where the car thinks the exhaust stops in terms of pulse and velocity. A 4efe with a peak power at 4500-6500rpm is best fitted withthe 5efhe manifold and downpipe and the cat in roughly standard postion. The cat can be gutted out.. Search four stroke exhaust length calculator.
