oil on 2 spark plug threads, smokes on first start
rmsnoel replied to bozwell's topic in N/A E-Series Engine Discussions
With the car idling unscrew the oilcap and see do the revs drop dramatically -
Thats pretty cool looking with the black glanza parts. Free bump

If your wheels toe out too much it will feel light at speed. If you too much negative camber it will feel light and floaty at speed. I go normal or 0 toe and 1degree (standard) camber when Im regularly doin motorway driving for work. Now Im doin country roads so Im using 1.75degrees camber and 0.5 toe out. It turns very fast in sharp corners but gets floatly at 80mph. Change the balljoint and get your alignment done. 20quid should.do alignment and any decent place should check it for free

The two coolant pipes go on the bottom, beside each other. They are piped through the idle valve that screws onto the throttlebody. The breather pipes from the steering rack go on the other pipes. Best thing to do is blank off the coolant pipes by looping the hoses. Use the short hose on the throttlebody and use the long hose on the engine. Now youll have a cooler air intake

rmsnoel replied to Glanza AuA's topic in Chassis & Suspension
Without startin a ful debate, does the c pillar brace make a suitable improvement? -
Im looking to findout the original paint depth of a uk ep91. Ive red 98 thats gone alittle pink and I want to get buffed before I fit a newly painted rear spoiler. The cars been buffed before as theres the telltale signs so if theres not much paint left then Ill paint the spoiler black or grey

Is the sr spoiler still for sale
-
Well if its fte manifold just offset the cable.bracket away from the throttlebody

1.8 or 2.0 astra G. Parts are cheap, upgrades are bolt on from the gsi lots of weight can be dumped and whiteline do a rear antiroll bar. Raise the rev limit for 90quid and away u go

Have u put a corolla manifold on your car recently? Dont use a glanza or gt throttlebody, it fits but the sensor is wrong and your car wont run right. If u are using the corola manifold, habe a wee look at my build thread for the fix to the loose.cable

Change the.balljoint.and .get your.wheel.alignment checked. If u have too much front.camber your car will sway or feel like it weave from side to side over say 70_80mph but handle really well below that

Just cut off the locating pins under the ep82 seat rails then screw the four bolts in little and then tighten them all up. Straight forward... 10minute job

Is your standard regulator stuck from sitting in your garage.maybe?

Rear anti roll bar, adjustable or non adjustable?
rmsnoel replied to Patches's topic in Chassis & Suspension
Get the adjustable one !! The non adjustable one is designed for OZ starlets with no front antiroll bar. Our uk cars with their front anti roll bars are suppose to use the middle or hard setting. I adjust mine each time I change my camber or toe in or adjust my front droplinks -
So if I have two 60w speakers in the oem position and a sony xplod type hu I could or should use a small amp?

car smokes in morning and if left over 3 hrs
rmsnoel replied to bozwell's topic in N/A E-Series Engine Discussions
Valve stem oil seals lad. I did mine with the head still on but if Ive to do it again I would fit a 0.6mm head gasket and 4efte valve springs -

lol good civic.... -
Dude that is a most impressive smash congrats you have a pub story for life. Hope no-one was hurt n best of luck in the new car hunt

Lad half those prices. Youd be mad to pay that money. New standard exhausts tend to last about two years before they rot. If your current exhaist is ok then just keep it as its made of much old fashionef quality steel. if it has a hole, get it welded if it swings about replace the bush. Keep your money

Power the 6x9's with a amp morgey? Ill seeif I can fit something in the rear plastics as the parcel shelf gets removed alot throughout the week.

Thanks man. Im using the 100cm speakers in the standard positions but can I box them or do anything to improve the sound. Starlets wouldnt be famous for sound quality
